As a healthcare provider, my goal is to work with you to meet your healthcare needs, including your emotional and psychosocial needs. I believe in a holistic approach, evidence-based practice, and collaboration to work together to achieve our goals together. As a doctoral-prepared board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I believe that an approach of a combination of pharmacological and psychotherapy can provide the maximum benefit for patients and their families. Therefore, in my practice, I provide both medication management and psychotherapy for adults as well as children. Outside my job, I enjoy outdoor activities and nature, as much as quiet time reading a book or quality family time.
Typically, my first session will be mainly focused on assessing my client's physical, emotional, and overall mental health or healthcare needs. This involves information gathering, and comprehensive evaluation to see if we are a good fit for each other, ie if I can provide the healthcare and support you need, and if you think that I am the right provider for you. Your confidentiality, comfort levels, and overall mental health needs will always be my priority.
My greatest strengths as a mental health provider are my communication skills, compassion for helping and service, and my human skills. I empathize and connect with my clients on a human level. My compassionate nature allows me to truly listen to their concerns, understand their feelings, and provide the emotional support they need during challenging times. This empathy enables me to build trust and rapport with my clients, creating a safe and supportive environment for them to share their struggles and seek guidance.
I provide psychiatric mental health care for clients of all ages and backgrounds, including the Chinese population as I speak fluent Mandarin. A happy life starts with a healthy body and mind. I am here to support you and meet your healthcare needs.
Mind-body approach
The mind-body approach in mental health emphasizes the interconnectedness of psychological, emotional, and physical well-being, recognizing that these aspects of health are deeply intertwined and influence one another. This approach best acknowledges that mental health is not solely about our thoughts and emotions, but also encompasses the impact of our physical health, lifestyle, and social environment.

After our first assessment where we agreed on next steps, Kelly sent me a message that contradicted our next steps as if we didnt even have the assessment. It was a waste of my time.
