I am a licensed clinical social worker with a doctorate degree in clinical psychology. Since becoming a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Florida in 2002 I have provided a number of evidence-based therapeutic services to those dealing with challenging life experiences. I am licensed in many states, such as CA, NV, FL, TX, and many more. Therapy is about making movement. The purpose of therapy is multifaceted. People who engage consistently in therapy generally have fewer negative emotional symptoms and report experiencing a higher overall quality of life after receiving treatment. It is important to understand that therapy is not a quick fix or one size fits all. Therapy is a process. The type of treatment approach implemented in therapy will be discussed between you and your provider.

I like to use a combination of traditional Western therapy with nurturing mind-body therapies. It is all about healing from within and seeing oneself as having that power to heal through meditation, mind-body techniques, and positive energy. Then, we work on how you think, process information, how this impacts your feelings, emotions, and how this all leads to your actions. Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an evidenced-based technique that pulls from several cognitive and behavioral interventions. Doing so allows the therapist to work with the client at challenging negative automatic thoughts and distorted or fissured paradigms that often destabilize the person's emotional and psychological welfare. The goal of CBT is to promote more adaptive and healthier coping skills and emotional regulation of the patient.

ACT can be applied in any client's life to help with anxiety disorders, chronic pain, depression, crises, eating disorders, and social anxiety. I work with clients to develop psychological resiliency and employ the six core principles of ACT using mindfulness, commitment, awareness, and focused states of attention through a variety of evidenced-based interventions.
