Hi there! I'm a Doctor of Nursing practice (DNP) and a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner based in California. I received my master's from the California State University Los Angeles and doctoral degree from Purdue University Global. I have been in mental health space for over 30 years. I specialize in medication management of mental health conditions such as Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar disorder, PTSD, Sleep disorder, and more. Also, I help young adults having challenges with career-related fatigue and exhaustion on selfcare.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session with me, we'll start by getting to know each other briefly. Then, we'll focus on understanding the specific challenges you're facing. This could include discussing your past history, current symptoms, and any goals or concerns you have regarding your mental health. Based on our conversation, I'll work with you to create a personalized treatment plan that addresses your unique needs and goals. Our first session sets the stage for a collaborative and supportive journey towards improving your mental well-being.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a provider lies in my ability to develop personalized treatment plans that address the root causes of challenges faced by individuals. With over three decades of clinical experience, I have honed a nuanced approach that focuses on understanding each client's unique situation. Whether it's working with young professionals navigating career-related stress or individuals coping with mental health conditions like depression or anxiety, I prioritize creating tailored strategies that lead to measurable progress. This approach, combined with a commitment to compassion and affordability, fosters a supportive environment where clients can achieve meaningful and sustainable improvements in their mental well-being.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I specialize in providing comprehensive mental health care tailored to the unique needs of individuals across diverse populations. My passion lies in working with marginalized communities, including the LGBTQ+ spectrum, and addressing a wide range of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and PTSD. I am dedicated to ensuring that my clients receive personalized, compassionate, and effective treatment at Salvage Psychiatry. My approach empowers individuals to lead fulfilling and productive lives by offering affordable and high-quality mental health services in a supportive community of experts.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I've been using CBT in my practice for the past seven years. It’s helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use both medication and CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

While she does somewhat listen to my input, I feel like her responses do not take into consideration things I’ve mentioned in the past, ie. Certain medications not working for me, etc. Follow-up appointments are pretty short, like 10 minutes. I don’t feel inclined to share much with her given the tone and structure of our sessions.
