As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over ten years experience in health care field, my heart is fully committed to delivering empathetic and comprehensive mental health care. It is my solemn duty to evaluate, diagnose, and address a myriad of mental health conditions : such as anxiety, depression, mood disorder, ADHD, and insomnia ,all while emphasizing the importance of promoting holistic well-being.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the initial session, clients can anticipate a welcoming and empathic atmosphere. I will invest the necessary time to acquaint myself with their needs, comprehend their worries, and collaboratively establish treatment objectives. Our discussions will encompass their medical history, prevailing symptoms, and any prior mental health interventions, all essential in formulating a personalized care strategy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

In my role, I excel in active listening, furnishing non-judgmental encouragement, and motivating clients to assume an active role in their mental health journey. I am steadfastly committed to remaining abreast of the most recent evidence-based practices and engaging with clients to ensure they receive tailored and extensive care.

My treatment methods

Motivational Interviewing

I believe expressing empathy is a critical component of motivational interviewing. It involves carefully listening to the patient and understanding the patient's feelings, beliefs, and experiences. In the context of motivational interviewing, I have learned the crucial role of reinforcing the patient's belief in their ability to change. By highlighting the patient's skills, strengths, or past successes, I empower them to believe in their potential for change. My role is not to impose my viewpoint on the patient but to guide them in considering multiple perspectives and providing direction and guidance.
