I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State with over 25 years of experience in the mental health field, including psychotherapy and life coaching. Throughout my career, I've helped individuals navigate trauma, anxiety, stress, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. I also have experience supporting individuals through weight loss surgery and the emotional and behavioral changes that accompany it. I recognize that everyone comes to therapy with unique experiences, strengths, and challenges. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative, grounded in a humanistic philosophy that values each person's individuality and capacity for growth. I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and somatic approaches, tailoring our work to your individual needs and goals. Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you're hoping to gain from our work together, and any questions or concerns you may have. There's no pressure to share everything at once. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and supported as we begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. Outside of therapy, I have a deep love of nature and animals and have been actively involved in cat rescue and fostering, particularly with senior cats and those with special medical needs. These experiences have reinforced my appreciation for compassion, patience, resilience, and the meaningful connections we share. As an animal lover myself, I also understand how profound the grief of losing a beloved pet can be.

I’ve spent most of my adult life trying to understand what makes us human—what drives us, what holds us back, what brings us peace, and how we heal. That curiosity led me to the field of mental health and continues to guide my work. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master’s in Social Work from Eastern Washington University, and I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including community mental health, hospital emergency rooms, medical units, psychiatric wards, health insurance, as well as the prison system. My approach is shaped not only by professional experience, but by real life. I’ve experienced deep personal loss, wrestled with questions about meaning and change, and spent time in the client’s seat myself. I understand what it’s like to feel lost, and I also know what it takes to move forward with greater strength and self-awareness.

I’m Eddie. I’m a therapist, husband, dad, and someone who has lived enough life to know that people can change. I became a father young, have experienced my own struggles with addiction and recovery, and I wasn’t always the person I am today. A lot of my life has been about learning how our physical, mental, relational, and spiritual worlds are connected, and how our past can shape us without having to define our future. Before becoming a mental health therapist, I worked in substance use treatment, which was especially meaningful because I understood some of that struggle personally. Today I work with teens and adults navigating trauma, ADHD and neurodivergence, addiction, anxiety, depression, relationships, identity, and life transitions. I’m not interested in reducing someone to a diagnosis or pretending I have life completely figured out because I’m sitting in the therapist chair. I’m another human being who has done a lot of growing myself, and I want therapy to be a place where you can be honest about who you are, understand how you got here, and figure out who you want to become.

Thank you for sharing information about yourself. I'm so happy that you reached out for help. I am Michael Creech, a licensed therapist. My goal is to meet you where you are by bringing a compassionate approach backed by formal training and experience and be a part of your goals in the change process. I am very personable as well as professional and I do not believe in one-sided relationships. I have a multidisciplinary, eclectic approach to therapy in which I utilize techniques and principles from a variety of modalities to include Christian based. My counseling is geared toward treating the whole person from a biopsychosocial spiritual standpoint. I view counseling as a calling and not as a career and that it is a collaborative effort in which I learn and grow as a result of every interaction. My clients describe me as a “good listener” and as someone who “makes me think”. Some of the experiences that have contributed to my professional identity and approach to mental health treatment are my formal education at Pensacola Christian College where I received a BA in Pastoral Ministry and Liberty University where I received a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have worked as a therapist under regulatory agencies for 6 years and have worked in Christian Ministry since my ministerial ordination in 2003. Demographics I have served have included inpatient and outpatient care, private practice, substance abuse issues, psychotic spectrum disorders, gender identity issues, personality disorders, sex addiction, family and relationship issues, depression, anxiety, PTSD, Spirituality, and men’s issues. My experiences as a combat military veteran, teacher, father, husband, and a person who has experienced my own traumas and failures have contributed to my professional development. I look forward to getting to know you!

I am authentically me, and I show up as a human first. I believe everyone carries their own stories, strengths, and struggles. I meet each person with openness and without judgment. I understand difficult things because I've lived through them. I bring personal, lived experience with trauma, neurodivergence, complex family dynamics, and the ripple effects addiction can have on those close to it. This isn't just clinical knowledge to me, it's something I've walked through myself. In a world that can feel unsafe or unwelcoming to those who are "different," I strive to be a safe place for you. My goal is simple: to help you feel truly seen, heard, and feel better. Your healing and your journey are my passion. I’ve been married to my best friend for over 26 years, and together we have an adult daughter, two beloved fur babies, and tortoise. Outside of the therapy room, you’ll most likely find me out in nature, kayaking, walking trails, or simply enjoying the calm. My family and I love playing all kinds of board games, and I also enjoy reading, painting, and watching movies or mindless TV when I need to recharge. At the heart of everything I do is a deep belief that healing happens in safe, authentic connection and I am honored every time someone invites me to be part of that journey.

Clients shouldn't have to be in therapy forever! Together, we'll co-create a balanced approach combining active listening with practical techniques, helping you reclaim your narrative and overcome obstacles. My clinical and holistic approach aims for deeper alignment and fulfillment—think more water, less soda. As an LCSW, I'm trained in EMDR, certified in Theta Healing, Reiki, Transformational Life Coaching, and Therapeutic Touch, and am a Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming, Hypnotherapy, and Time Line Therapy. I provide a compassionate, judgment-free space to explore your wants, needs, and emotions. You know yourself best, and our work is about uncovering your truths rather than imposing mine. Together, we'll determine the tools and approaches that best suit your needs, ensuring you feel heard, validated, and empowered. The goal is to help you confidently manage challenges independently over time. We'll walk side-by-side, with you gradually taking the lead and me offering steady support. If you have pressing concerns, those always take precedence. Our sessions focus on understanding HOW you think, not just WHAT you think, exploring both conscious and unconscious beliefs and emotions. You'll leave with clear, actionable steps, such as mindfulness exercises, creative writing prompts, meditation, and breathwork techniques to regulate emotions and reclaim your narrative. Therapy isn't about fixing what's "broken" but enhancing alignment and fulfillment while overcoming obstacles. By focusing on your goals and measuring progress, we can eliminate stigma, leaving shame behind and empowering you toward greater self-awareness and fulfillment.

I value authenticity, empathy, and self-awareness, both for myself, my clients, and as a critical part of the therapeutic process (I also take advantage of the healing power of laughter whenever possible!). I aim to normalize and validate my clients’ experiences without judgment, and above all, provide the most basic of human needs: to feel seen and heard. My name is Stephanie (or Stevie, either is fine) and I have been providing therapy in NJ exclusively via telehealth for about the last 5 years (prior to that, in person). I have a deep passion and respect for the power of therapy to change lives, which I have been privileged to witness in my work with clients, as well as in my personal life, both through the consistent use of therapy as part of my own self-care, as well as having spent the last 20 years raising two children with special needs. If you have been struggling with symptoms of depression or anxiety, particularly if they are related to a traumatic experience, I would love the opportunity to work with you to reduce your symptoms and help you experience a present that is not overshadowed by your past. I love working with women ages 20 to 30-something who are still in academia or just starting out in their careers, but also love working with women of any age. I frequently work with survivors of child sexual abuse, as well as those struggling with issues related to self-worth, but work with other conditions as well.

Hi, I’m Dr. Ebony B. I’m a licensed therapist, healing guide, and space-holder for people who are tired of being the strong one. If you’ve been carrying the weight of emotional pain, burnout, or the pressure to keep showing up for everyone else, this is your space to put it all down and just be. I work with Black women, caregivers, and high-achieving professionals who often feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or like they’ve lost themselves somewhere along the way. Many of my clients seem to have it all together on the outside but feel exhausted inside. You don’t have to keep holding it in or pretending to be okay. You deserve a space to be real, to rest, and to heal. In our work together, we’ll move at your pace. I help clients understand what they’re feeling, where those emotions come from, and how to care for themselves with more compassion and clarity. We talk through patterns, explore your past, build boundaries, and learn new ways to cope that actually feel good to you. You’ll feel supported, not judged. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. We’ll laugh sometimes, reflect often, and create room for honesty, softness, and growth. I honor your lived experience and believe in healing that respects your identity, your story, and your values. You don’t have to do this alone. If you’re ready to feel more like yourself again, I would be honored to walk with you.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals with complex and high acuity mental health needs. My work is grounded in trauma informed and trauma responsive care, with a strong commitment to creating inclusive, affirming spaces for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent clients, and individuals in rural communities. I work across the lifespan, including children (7+), adults, older adults, families, and couples. My approach is collaborative and empowering, centered on the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives and require my clinical expertise. I often describe my role as “working myself out of a job” to help clients build the insight, skills, and confidence needed to advocate for themselves and navigate systems independently. As a trauma specialist, I tailor evidence based interventions to each client’s identities, needs, strengths, and goals. My primary approaches include Somatic Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)-(EMDRIA certification pending), Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. I also integrate Internal Family Systems informed interventions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, exposure based strategies, mindfulness, and other approaches as clinically appropriate. I adapt treatment for neurodivergent clients and clients with intellectual or developmental disabilities because therapy should adjust to the person and not require the person to adjust to therapy. I am continually shaped by the courage, insight, and lived experiences clients bring into our work. Every advanced training, specialty, certification, and state license reflect lessons learned from clients. I carry their trust, stories, and influence into every session with gratitude and responsibility. Welcome, and thank you for looking at my mental health provider profile. I hope we are able to work together in counseling to help you through a difficult time and improve the quality of your life. My education and experience include bachelors (Idaho State University} and master's degrees (University of British Columbia) in Social Work. I am clinically licensed in Washington and Idaho states. My background is in physical and mental health with internships in Hospice, and inpatient psychiatric hospital for severely mentally ill, and in end-of-life AIDS care. My employment has included hospital social work, emergency department social work, mental health and suicide assessments and safety planning including hospitalization, if necessary, trauma (physical and emotional), and grief and end-of-life counseling. I also did several years of private mental health practice with individuals, couples and children. Most recently I worked with high-risk adolescent youth who failed foster care and were placed by the State in residential care. I am unmarried with very close children and grandchildren. I have 3 dogs and a couple of mice-cats, and chickens for their eggs. I grew up in a military (US Marine Corp) family in California and on the east coast, eventually settling back in California. I left California for college and university then settled in rural Washington State. I enjoy the company and consultation of my sisters who are a clinical social worker and a registered nurse. I enjoy home improvement projects, training my dogs, attempts at vegetable gardening with limited success, family gatherings playing with grandchildren and grand nieces and nephews, exploring historical and cultural connections from the Appalachian Mountains, and reading books and watching movies, especially historical fiction. One of my favorite things that sustain my emotional well-being is to laugh and have fun with the people I love.

Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in Washington. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Washington from Spokane to Tacoma! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Washington.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Trauma and PTSD, is filtering therapists in Washington that work with patients with similar concerns.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
