You can know that something needs to change and still feel unsure where to begin. Maybe you're overthinking everything, putting pressure on yourself to get it right, carrying experiences you've never fully processed, or trying to find your footing in a season of life that has changed you. Sometimes, even when things look fine from the outside, they can feel very different on the inside. I want therapy to be a place where you can let your guard down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and feel understood without having to explain away your feelings. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in trauma-informed care. I draw from evidence-based approaches to help you understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build coping skills, and create meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Trinity University and my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Saint Mary's University, both in San Antonio. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). My additional training includes TF-CBT and TGCTA, and I am pursuing certification in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders to better support individuals through pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition to parenthood.

My therapeutic style is warm, relational, experiential, and direct. I use humor to help clients relax and feel at home where I can. One of the first skills I teach a new client is nervous system regulation. This is a gift that will pay dividends in the future. Somatic approaches are a nice place to start and helps clients to build skills in sitting with the hard moments, slowing down when needed, cultivating curiosity, and deepening their emotional experiences. I encourage self-compassion and self-love as explorations we can make slowly and together, and over time, clients find that this can become comfortable and even joy-inducing. I believe we’re called to grow and change when the strategies that once helped us survive and adapt start causing us problems. This doesn't mean we are broken or need fixing, not at all. In fact, it is those very skills that got you here, and we celebrate that. We might consider safe and tiny ways we can help move beyond old patterns of shame, guilt, people-pleasing, and self-judgment... and into a more authentic life that is a more rewarding, exciting, and consistent way of being who you want to be. Together we aim for more authenticity, more self-forgiveness and and self-acceptance as we work towards the life YOU want.

Trauma hurts. It can be sudden, life-altering and overwhelming, or chronic, subtle and nearly unnoticeable, but either way it can change the way we think about others, the world, and unfortunately, ourselves. Dealing with the aftermath—changes in our relationships, lashing out toward self or others, feeling nothing and/or everything all at once—is sometimes as hard as the initial event, especially when society, friends and family and our own minds tell us to “just get over it.” Worse, sometimes we aren’t even sure where the trauma came from in the first place, leaving us confused and even feeling hopeless. If you could just “get over it,” you would, but sometimes the brain simply cannot process traumatic events without help, and this is why trauma therapy exists. :) I'm an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) in Texas. I've been in practice for nearly 15 years and have been doing EMDR therapy for 13 of those. I specialize in helping teens and adults process trauma of all kinds. My goal is to help my clients gain the skills needed to process and adapt to traumatic memories, and then allow them to do so in a safe environment. I teach them how to build boundaries and follow through, and to treat themselves with self-compassion rather than judgment and harsh expectations. Trauma doesn’t have to ruin (or run) your life. If you’re hurting, please know I’d be happy to help in any way I can.

Hi, I'm Jonni Allen, from Houston, Texas, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and an Advanced Mediator. I received my masters degree from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC and my law degree from Washburn University in Topeka, KS. I started Pink Rose Therapy to help women reach their full potential. Through empowerment, support, and emotional development I have seen women achieve greater success in their career, higher reports of satisfaction and enjoyment from their interpersonal relationships and a genuine calm and peacefulness when enjoying their down time, allowing more time to spend on hobbies, side hustles, or causes with greater vigor and passion. I approach individual therapy as a partnership, where you and I both work on your treatment plan goals and checking in with how effective our work together is going. Each person is unique and has specific needs. Typically, I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques to challenge your current assumptions about your situation. I specialize in people experiencing anxiety, adjustment concerns around life transitions, and personality disorders. I am trauma informed and can help you realize how past traumas are impacting your mental health today, and strategies to cope better and calm the mind and body. I’m Tomekia Edwards, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas, New York, and California with over 17 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate life’s most difficult seasons. My background spans inpatient behavioral health, mobile psychiatric assessment, HIV case management, and working with service members and military families. These experiences have shaped my ability to provide grounded, compassionate care across diverse and complex situations. I commonly support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, work and school stress, and relationship challenges. My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused techniques, allowing us to identify practical tools while also uncovering the strengths you already possess. I have extensive experience working with adults, children, families, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

My name is Vincent Egbuchulam, and I am a licensed professional counselor with over five years of experience in the mental health field. I address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, teen issues, anger and stress management, life transitions, aggression, and ADHD. In addition, I am a retired board-certified Special Education teacher with 15 years of experience. My counseling approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). CBT involves helping clients learn and practice new skills, develop healthier thinking patterns, and adopt more effective coping strategies. I may assign homework to reinforce the skills we work on during sessions, as I believe that applying these techniques in your daily life enhances their effectiveness. SFBT operates on the principle that individuals are competent and capable of finding solutions to improve their lives. In our sessions, you will have the opportunity to describe your challenges, set personal goals, and provide feedback. Occasionally, I may incorporate other techniques, such as role-playing, if they are beneficial for your progress. I am committed to supporting those who seek to enhance their emotional well-being. During our initial visit, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and outline what you hope to achieve from our sessions. The first session typically lasts about an hour. You can expect a highly professional, objective, nonjudgmental, and confidential experience.

My name is Noe Rios and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I received my Masters in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling with a focus on mental health, and have been practicing 9 years with combined experience in mental health and substance use problems. My therapeutic style is direct and pragmatic, a blend of CBT and solution-focused work – it emphasizes building insight into how life circumstances may be contributing to the way that you’re feeling, taking a practical approach to solving problems, and exploring alternate perspectives that may be more helpful. I believe faith can also play a significant role in healing and moving forward, but I leave this to the discretion of the client.

Hi there, I'm Parag. You were not put here on this earth to suffer. You deserve to live your life with happiness and peace of mind. Mental illness and addiction can rob anyone of these precious gifts. When you turn to family and friends for support, often they don't know what to say or how to help. You can end up feeling very alone in the world. No one wants to develop mental illness or addictions. You didn't do anything wrong. Feeling emotionally numb, mentally overwhelmed, or having thoughts like "I just don't want to be on this earth anymore" are not things that people willingly choose for themselves. They are illnesses. We often get sick through no fault of our own. Just like some people get diabetes or heart disease, some people get mental illness. Working over five years in an inpatient psychiatric hospital, I have helped patients overcome symptoms of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, phobias, relationship problems, and self-esteem issues. My approach is to get to know you as a person and work on addressing what is really going on with your mind and your life right now. I know getting therapy can be scary, but I will do everything I can to help you feel heard, understood, and genuinely cared for. Give yourself a chance to have peace of mind again.
