I am an experienced social worker with nearly 20 years in social services. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating everyday stressors whether related to work, parenting, relationships, or emotional overwhelm. My approach centers on creating a safe, affirming space where we explore healthy coping strategies and reconnect with the mind, body, and soul. Together, we’ll work toward balance, resilience, and intentional healing.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is a gentle beginning a space where your story matters. I incorporate a storytelling approach to help us connect the dots between your past and present. I’ll invite you to walk me through your life: who raised you, whether you have siblings, what school was like for you in childhood and adolescence, and the experiences that shaped you along the way. Together, we’ll paint a picture of how you arrived at this moment not to judge or fix, but to understand. This foundation helps us explore your current stressors with compassion and clarity and begin building strategies that are tailored to your unique needs, preferences, and lived experiences.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I build rapport with ease, creating a space where clients feel seen, heard, and safe from the very first session. I listen not just to words, but to emotions, patterns, and the stories beneath the surface. My approach is rooted in empathy and positive support, helping clients feel empowered rather than judged. I’m skilled at meeting people where they are, adapting my methods to fit their unique needs, and guiding them toward clarity and growth with compassion and cultural sensitivity. Whether in clinical settings or creative spaces, I bring intentionality, emotional safety, and a steady presence to every interaction.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve women ages 28–45 who are navigating the demands of adulthood, including relationships, career stress, motherhood, and evolving identity. As a 45-year-old woman, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience that allows me to genuinely understand this phase of life and its unique challenges. Many of the clients I work with feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or “stuck,” and are seeking clarity, balance, and a stronger sense of self. I am especially attuned to the experiences of African American women managing multiple roles and expectations, often while carrying significant mental and emotional load. I work best with clients who are ready to reflect, gain insight, and make meaningful changes. Together, we focus on improving self-awareness, building confidence, strengthening communication, and developing practical coping strategies to support a more balanced and fulfilling life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to teach ways to "retrain your brain" I help you learn to identify and reframe thought patterns which in turn helps you to develop healthy coping skills.

Christian Counseling

I use Christian Counseling to honor your spiritual journey while addressing emotional challenges. I incorporate scripture, prayer and spiritual insight at your pace and comfort level.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use mindfulness to help you learn to anchor yourself in the present moment without judgement/self-criticism. We focus on how we cannot rewrite the past or predict the future but exploring how present-moment awareness can foster healing, resilience and meaningful change.

Strength-Based

I use a strengths-based approach to help clients identify and build on what is already working in their lives. Rather than focusing only on problems, I guide clients to recognize their resilience, abilities, and past successes as a foundation for change. Through this process, clients learn to reframe challenges, increase self-awareness, and develop confidence in their ability to move forward. In session, I highlight small wins, reinforce healthy patterns, and support clients in setting realistic, meaningful goals. My goal is to help clients shift from feeling stuck to feeling empowered and capable of creating lasting change.
