I also teach coping skills to help navigate daily challenges.
Let's start today on the path to regaining control of your life. I look forward to hearing from you.
Do you struggle with feeling bad about yourself, developing and /or maintaining healthy relationships with others? Do you feel down, depressed, feeling you let yourself or others down? Do you experience feelings of anxiety, stress, or trauma? Are these concerns impacting you at home, work, or other places?
Seeking therapy can be scary, however, you have made the right decision. I believe individuals are the "experts on themselves" and possess the ability to make the desired positive change in their lives.
In the session, we will utilize a Person Center Approach consisting of meeting the individual were they are, actively listening, providing support, encouragement, and validation, as well as utilizing Evidence -Based Treatment Modalities ( such Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Person Centered Approach, and Psychoeducation) Supportive Therapy, Stress Management, and Anger Management.
Together, we will work collaboratively to treat the whole person and empower the person to find their way forward.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with 30 years of experience in the mental health field and 14 years of experience operating my private practice. I support adults and couples experiencing anxiety, relationship distress, communication difficulties, parenting concerns, life transitions, diminished self-esteem, trauma-related concerns, and patterns that may be interfering with emotional well-being and healthier relationships.
In couples counseling, I provide a balanced and respectful environment where each partner has an opportunity to feel heard. I help couples recognize recurring patterns, improve communication, navigate conflict more constructively, rebuild emotional safety and trust, and strengthen their connection. My role is not to take sides, but to help both partners understand the relationship dynamic and take meaningful responsibility for the changes within their control.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients understand the connections among their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify beliefs and thinking patterns that may contribute to anxiety, depressed mood, diminished self-esteem, relationship distress, or ineffective coping.
Depending on the client’s needs, we may use guided reflection, thought records, structured exercises, role-playing, and between-session practice. With couples, CBT-informed strategies can also help partners examine assumptions, interpretations, expectations, and behavioral responses that contribute to recurring conflict. The goal is to develop greater awareness and practice healthier, more intentional responses.
My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based practices with carefully selected holistic strategies to support insight, emotional regulation, personal growth, and sustainable behavioral change. I meet each client with compassion, curiosity, and respect, helping them identify the underlying beliefs and patterns connected to their current concerns.
Feeling overwhelmed, stressed, and exhausted constantly? Isolated and alone because you don’t want to burden your friends or family with your problems? Or maybe you don’t know quite how to name why you feel this way or how to talk about it. Well, there is good news - therapy is the place to explore these challenging thoughts and feelings.
I’ve worked in mental health since 2016, helping people of all ages, backgrounds, and challenges. I approach mental health challenges with a holistic mindset to help identify what we can change, inside of our control, and increase resilience. Depression, anxiety, ADHD, and trauma are a few examples of mental health struggles that impact how we live and experience the world. However, the opposite is also true! Because our lifestyles can influence our ability to tolerate stress and feel good about ourselves. My job as a therapist is to help you identify what is working, and what isn't working, and what we can do about it. I believe in us working as a team and supporting you in achieving your goals, so you can reconnect with your inner strength, resilience, and confidence to manage life's challenging ebbs and flows.
Why choose me? Well, to help me feel less like a stranger, here is more detail about my background:
My M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling is from Lenoir Rhyne University's Graduate Center of Asheville, NC in Dec. 2020. I hold a B.S. in Psychology from Longwood University in Farmville, VA. I'm a Qualified Mental Health Professional with 5.5 years of direct care experience with teens in residential treatment. My graduate internship was community & school-based outpatient therapy with Access Family Services. August 2021 to March 2024, I was an outpatient therapist, in-person and virtual, with the center for emotional health.
Hello, my name is Stephen Pleasant, and I'm a psychotherapist for men. Why therapy for men? Well, because sometimes a man just needs a pork shoulder to cry on. That being said, I will also work with women as well.
It’s a recognized human tendency for men to get “stuck” in their lives and to end up “settling” for the status quo when deep down they know they are capable of a great deal more. Here’s the truth; You are never “stuck” with your present circumstances.
The Game of Life is a psychological and spiritual journey and winning at this game requires you to change your play and learn to think differently and do things in a new way.
I help men break out from being “stuck” in life, resigned to producing results that are disappointing to them and others. My goal is to see transformative progress in men’s confidence, clarity, and self-expression, so that they may gain the fuller personal and work life they thought was beyond them.

Hello there, I'm Heather. Are you experiencing anxiety, depression, or difficulty adjusting to life transitions? Are you noticing that things are overwhelming and more difficult to cope with because of the many stressors in life? Do you feel that you worry too much, are not good enough, or feel like you're stuck? Do you feel like you are all alone, that you have no one who really listens, understands you, or can relate to what you are going through? Well look no further because I specialize in alleviating anxiety, managing and overcoming depression, and adjusting to life transitions (such as parenting, relationship challenges, experiencing an empty nest, health issues, job loss, divorce, death of a loved one, or retirement.) It's a common experience to face these life challenges, but when those issues start to take over your life, it's time to get the support you need by working through this with a counselor so you can live a more fulfilling life. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in North Carolina, licensed to see clients in North Carolina working virtually, and I'm also licensed in California. I received my Masters from San Diego State University and have been practicing clinical social work for 21 years. I enjoy working with individual adults who are struggling navigating the stressors in life, and we would work together to get you unstuck as soon as possible so you can live a better life, on your own terms. Hi! I'm a LCMHCS, LPCS, LCAS, CCS based in North Carolina and practicing in NC, SC, GA, TX, AZ, MA, ME, RI, NH and US VI. I received my Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University and two Masters from Webster University in Counseling and Health Administration. I have been practicing for over 20 years and enjoy working with a diverse population of people. I have several areas of expertise and enjoy using them to support my clients in their overall life goals and plans for success.
In life, we all move through peaks and valleys. While the high points can feel expansive and full of possibility, the valleys often feel isolating, overwhelming, or unclear. My work centers on helping clients feel less alone in those difficult moments and more empowered to navigate them with confidence, clarity, and self‑compassion.
I believe that our deepest aspirations—love, peace, fulfillment, and meaningful connection—begin with the relationship we build with ourselves. As we strengthen that inner foundation, we naturally create healthier, more authentic relationships with others. Therapy becomes a space where this transformation can unfold with intention and support.
In my practice, I walk alongside my clients with a grounded, non‑judgmental, and compassionate presence. My first priority is to listen deeply. I want to understand what matters most to you, what you’re carrying, and how your experiences have shaped the way you move through the world. I strive to ensure you feel genuinely seen and heard from the very beginning, because healing grows from a foundation of trust and authentic connection.
Together, we explore your inner landscape—your strengths, your patterns, your hopes, and the parts of you that may feel stuck or unheard. Through this collaborative process, you can begin to reconnect with your sense of self, develop healthier emotional habits, and move toward a life that feels more aligned and fulfilling.
If you’re ready to step into a space where you don’t have to navigate the valleys alone, I’m here to walk with you.

The world can feel like it's moving incredibly fast at times, and it is easy to get swept up in that momentum only to realize you’ve been running on empty for a long time. Hi there! I'm a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Clinician (LCMHC) based in North Carolina. I received my Masters from Grand Canyon University and have been working in the mental health field for 7 years. I am committed with assisting women with managing life stressors, postpartum and pregnancy, anxiety, and coping. I also work with youth assisting with learning how to manage emotions, process trauma, and enhance communication skills.
Fifteen+ years go, I began my journey as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Since my start in the field, I have worked within substance abuse residential facilities, Drug Court, intensive in-home behavioral services, military families, and private practice with children, adults, and couples. I have provided support across a variety of populations over the years addressing anxiety, depression, and neurodivergent and immigrant and refugee populations. These experiences have shaped my therapeutic lens and the understanding of how larger systems like health, education, and economic status attribute to mental health challenges.
The education and training I received aligned with my belief that mental health and wellness challenges are not developed solely through chemical and psychological disruptions, but are also an outcome of the systems and relationships that have shaped us and those we are currently in. From that perspective, my approach to therapy begins in exploring attachment. One's attachment style as developed in their childhood can trace relationship patterns as well as one's worldview identifying keys to distress. The way we seek comfort in distress impact not only our intimate relationships, but our work life and economic choices.
Oftentimes, therapeutic progress has neglected how intricately interwoven are the body, soul, and spirit. Intersecting all three in sessions, I endeavor to proactively support individuals in developing their wellness lifestyle in order to be best informed when future barriers and areas of stuck-ness in life occur. I believe in the power of unveiling one's authentic self and harnessing their inherent strengths to achieve personal and professional fulfillment.
Hello! I believe that therapy should be a space where you feel truly seen and heard. With over a decade of experience supporting people through life’s biggest transitions, from the joys and challenges of maternal health to the complexities of geriatric care, I’ve learned that while every story is unique, our need for connection is universal. Whether you’re facing work, family, or peer issues or finding your way as an adult navigating a difficult season, I’m here to help you turn obstacles into meaningful successes.

I'm Jeff Hunsucker. I'm a licensed clinical social worker and addiction specialist. I am also a certified peer support specialist. I've been working in substance use and mental health treatment for 13 years, and I value the inherent worth of every person. Each client will be treated with respect and dignity as they strive to reach their full potential. I'm a compassionate guide in the recovery process that walks along side of my clients in their journey.
If you’re looking for someone who will sit back while you unravel your life's chaos alone, I’m not your person. But if you want someone who gently calls you out, celebrates your wins (even the small ones like doing laundry), and hands you actual tools (not just tissues), welcome. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused techniques, which is fancy for I help you identify the unhelpful thoughts doing donuts in your brain, and together we kick them out and get you moving forward.
I proudly support the LGBTQIA2+ community, and my practice is affirming, inclusive, and kink/poly-friendly. No judgment here, ever! Whether you're dealing with anxiety that won't shut up, depression that's overstayed its welcome, or you’re just trying to get it together-ish, we can work on making real, sustainable change.
You bring the honesty. I’ll bring the dry humor, the empathy, and the occasional metaphor that doesn’t totally land but somehow still helps. Remember YOU>it.
My name is Dr. Brandon Lowe and I'm a licensed mental health and addictions therapist. I have a doctoral degree (2024) in Christian counseling and a master's degree in Rehabilition and Mental Health counseling (2013). I've been in the counseling field since 2006. I've worked myself up from a behavioral health specialist to doctoral status within my 19 years in the behavioral health field. Over the years, not only did I acquire higher education but most importantly experience.
Hello, I'm Amanda. For over 20 years I've walked alongside people through every kind of mental health journey—from crisis moments in psychiatric hospitals to steady, hopeful growth in outpatient settings.
My favorite thing is helping adults rediscover their strength, heal old wounds, and build lives that feel lighter and more joyful. I bring a calm, creative, down-to-earth energy to every conversation.
I'm also a mom, grandma, and wife—balancing real life just like you do. Those experiences help me truly connect with people from every background and walk of life.
I provide individual and family therapy using a person-centered, collaborative approach that meets you where you are—without judgment and without pressure to be “fixed.” I view therapy as a partnership, and I work alongside clients to support meaningful, sustainable change.
My approach focuses on helping clients identify their strengths, increase self-awareness, recognize support systems, and take accountability in ways that promote growth rather than shame. I use an eclectic, evidence-based framework, drawing from Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Family Systems Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-based practices. Interventions are always tailored to each client’s unique needs, goals, and lived experiences.
My work is grounded in a few core beliefs: people are doing the best they can with the skills they have, people are capable of change, and people do get better. I also believe that a strong therapeutic relationship creates the safety necessary for healing and growth.
To support progress outside of sessions, I may offer practical, collaborative between-session exercises that help clients apply skills in their daily lives.
I am a Christian counselor, and my faith informs my values of compassion, dignity, and respect. I work with individuals from all backgrounds, beliefs, and identities, and faith is incorporated into therapy only when requested by the client.
In addition to my professional role, I am a wife, lifelong learner, and mother of three, including a son on the autism spectrum. These experiences deepen my empathy and understanding of caregiving, advocacy, and navigating complex systems.
I am a veteran of the helping professions, having served since 1982 in some capacity or another, and I still find excitement in the possibility of helping those who need such assistance. I am currently licensed in two states, both North Carolina and Pennsylvania. I find many people respond to my ability to simply listen and that shows that they do not often feel they have been heard and sometimes this is all that is necessary to start the journey to begin healing. Certainly more is often required, and helping people connect with effective treatments whether provided by myself or not is the best help that can be given.
I provide goal-directed, collaborative therapy focused on embracing change as both constant and certain. I am trained and skilled in Solution-Focused Therapy, a goal-oriented and collaborative approach that helps individuals identify and build on their strengths to create positive changes in their lives. This method emphasizes finding practical solutions and fostering resilience, empowering individuals to navigate challenges effectively. I believe that individuals are the experts of their own experiences and possess the inner strengths and resources to overcome barriers to wellness and happiness. While I guide and support individuals in building skills to manage challenges, set realistic goals, and boost personal resilience, the responsibility for meaningful change rests with you. Taking the first step to find a therapist is a remarkable act of courage and an important investment in your well-being. I work with individuals from diverse backgrounds via telehealth, focusing on concerns such as anxiety, chronic stress, fear, shame, perfectionism, and self-critical patterns. I typically check messages after 6:00 p.m. (EST) weekdays and will respond as promptly as I can. Feel free to review my calendar for available sessions. I look forward to partnering with you on your journey.

I support people who feel like they have lost their spark, are running on empty, or are struggling to prioritize their own needs without guilt, including adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating school, work, relationships, and family life. Whether you are managing daily responsibilities, adjusting to life transitions, or simply trying to find your footing, you do not have to go through it alone.
I’m Britanie Walker, LCSW, founder of A Touch of Hope LLC. With over 15 years of experience in mental health and substance use treatment, I bring a warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth approach to therapy. I believe in creating a safe, judgment-free space where adults can show up exactly as they are and feel truly heard and supported. My style is collaborative and grounded in respect, meeting clients where they are in their journey. Together, we work to explore challenges, build on strengths, and develop tools for healing, growth, and lasting change. My goal is to help you rediscover hope at your own pace.
Hi, I'm Ingle. I know life can be challenging; It’s not always easy. As one journeys through life there comes a time when we all need the love and support of someone who cares. For this reason, it has always been my passion to help those who are in need of that love and support. With a non-judgmental attitude and a heart of compassion I aim to meet you where you are. My hope is to walk alongside you in an effort to help you achieve your therapeutic goals. I also offered Christian based support as well for those that prefer it.
Therapy is the most effective when you feel genuinely connected to the person walking along side you. I take pride in meeting clients where they are, no matter the chapter of life they’re in. I strive to offer both stability and flexibility, recognizing that the world can feel overwhelming at times, but together, we can make it feel more manageable.
