Welcome to my page! My name is Sara Schwartz, MBA, MA, LPC, NCC, CAADC, NPT-C, and I am the owner of 3Cs Counseling Center (3CsCounselingCenter.com). I have been working in the field of counseling for 6 years now and have both community mental health and private practice experience. I'm able to treat a wide variety of mental health concerns including trauma and PTSD, addictions, anxiety, depression, mood dysregulation disorders, and many more. While in community mental health for a year-and-a-half, I worked with the most vulnerable children and adults out in the streets of Detroit. These individuals were struggling with severe emotional disturbances and mental health diagnoses, often with co-occurring physical disabilities and addiction(s), and battling homelessness, difficult family dynamics or being moved to multiple foster care placements (at all ages). I enjoy helping clients by lifting them up and empowering them right where they're at while providing a supportive space for deep self-exploration, trying new coping skills and strategies, and ultimately, realizing sustainable healing.

I have worked in the mental health field for over 15 years, and I spent the last five years working as a professional counselor with children, adolescents, young adults, middle aged adults, older adults, couples and families on a variety of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, grief, social anxiety, eating disorders, career counseling, parenting, relationship issues/poor communication, etc.

Hello, I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor based in the state of Michigan. I graduated from Spring Arbor University with a Masters degree in Counseling. My background consists of working with individuals age 7yrs old and older, family counseling, Severely Impaired disorders, Couples, PTSD, Anxiety and more. Analyzing individuals as a "whole" and not only their mental issues helps the appreciation of the therapy experience for all that engage in my sessions. I believe in asking about your mental and physical health since my teaching has allowed the understanding of medical health has a definite impact on the mental health. My Social Work experience includes being a Foster Care Worker, School Social Worker, Mental Health Urgent Care Therapist, and I am currently a Mental Health Professional at a County Jail.

First and foremost, I am a wife and mother. I have real life experiences that can relate to people. I have been treating clients for 25 years. I use real life, practical coping skills to help clients in real life situations. I have worked in community based centers, schools and therapeutic individual settings. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and dialectal behavioral. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. My hours are 8 am to 2pm Monday through Friday . I have different hours for sessions and those include nights and weekends. Please visit my schedule.
