I have worked in mental health for about 7 years now. I have worked in a range of settings including at an inpatient hospital setting, home therapy, and outpatient therapy. I have worked with both children, adolescents and adults experiencing depression, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, stress, challenging family dynamics, grief and loss, and life transitions. I use a empathetic and calming approach in my session that allows every client to be heard and understood. I adapt my approach to every individual. Through your sessions with me, you will build up your skills to better understand and manage your feelings that are currently weighing you down.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

My clients can expect a welcoming and friendly environment that will seek to establish a productive and therapeutic relationship from the start. I will start by getting to know you and your unique story and develop a collaborative action plan for positive change in our work together

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have an easy going and friendly demeanor that allows clients to feel comfortable and safe working with me. I also offer patience and persistence, as well as a non-judgemental approach that allows me to meet clients where they are at and provide guidance in their journey, wherever that may be.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with young adults, and adolescents. I specialize in addressing trauma, as well as anxiety and depression.

It helps that he doesn't judge me for my thoughts or feelings. He has created a safe place for me to feel ok with being honest in our conversations. He genuinely seems like a good person who genuinely wants to help me and not just because it's his job. Before working with him I was afraid of going to therapy because I was afraid of being judged and looked down upon. I was also afraid that what ever therapist i got wouldnt actually care about me. I am thankful that he proved my fears wrong.

I had my first therapy session with Benjamin, and I couldn’t have asked for a better start to this journey. From the beginning, he created a space that felt both safe and grounded—something I didn’t realize I needed as much as I did. His calm demeanor, thoughtful questions, and ability to actively listen without judgment made it easy to open up. He struck the perfect balance between empathy and insight, helping me feel seen and understood, while also gently challenging me to reflect more deeply. It’s rare to connect so quickly in a first session, but Benjamin’s presence made that possible. I left feeling lighter, more aware, and surprisingly hopeful. Looking forward to what comes next.

Benjamin is very caring and has a calming demeanor. I have been working with Ben almost a year and he’s the first therapist I have been able to trust and fully open up. I highly recommend Benjamin and love working with him.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT to help clients obtain self-awareness of their emotions and learn to control them in appropriate ways. I use DBT to help clients find tools to help themselves through crisis and difficult situations in healthy and appropriate ways. I also use DBT to help clients form productive and healthy relationships with others.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I use TFCBT to help clients heal from the trauma of their past and reframe the messages and themes from earlier trauma in their lives. I use a form of trauma narrative as an exposure method to help clients talk and explore their past traumas

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT as a method to help clients find acceptance in themselves in a non-judgemental and healthy way. I help clients connect with their values and to find happiness and joy in their lives through a value-based existence.
