Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California. I received my Masters from the University of Southern California (USC) emphasis in Mental Health and Military Social Work. I have been practicing for 7 years. I help US Military Service Members and Veteran's struggling with adjusting to civilian life, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety and Anger Management skills. The military teaches structure and purpose everyday. You know what you have to do, where you have to be and when you have to be there and going to waking up as a civilian to “what do I do now” can be a struggle. This is where I can help with the transition to civilian life.
I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and 25 years ago I moved to Florida where I currently reside. I graduated in 2005 from Florida International University with a Masters in Mental Health Counseling. At the present time, I hold 9 state licenses that allows me to to provide Tele-health counseling in other states besides Florida; Texas, South Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, Missouri, Utah and Michigan, Massachusetts. I am also bilingual (English and Spanish) and I have more than 20 years of experience in the mental health and social services arena.

I have been practicing clinical social work since I received my Masters in 1986. Settings I have worked in include: community mental health agencies, youth residential programs, schools (elementary, middle and high school), remote therapy platforms. I love my work and easily connect with all types of clients, placing importance on building trusting therapeutic alliances. I believe that patients exhibit courage to engage in the therapeutic process. I view the therapeutic alliance between myself and client as a partnership. Throughout the process I make sure to check in with the client about how they are perceiving things such as the development of the relationship and the pace of the process for the client. I am always open to feedback.
I am a clinician with twenty-five years of clincial experiences as a licensed mental health counselor. I have worked with families, caregivers, employees, and adults over 18 years old. I visited families in their homes over the years before doing telehealth visits on a permanent basis. I have extensive experience providing mindfulness behavioral therapy, solution-focused methods, CBT, and grief counseling. Over the years, I have learned valuable resources for stress reduction through grounding techniques using the breath and cognitive restructuring to produce a calmer state of being. I participated in an all-day training for clinicians to learn how to apply nature-based interventions and tools for individuals interested in this intervention. Evidence-based studies show how nature therapy reduces stress, heart rate, and blood pressure, and boosts positive moods. You can practice nature therapy in your house without having to go outside as well.

I provide therapy in both English and Spanish and tailor treatment to your individual needs, goals, and experiences
I am a person-centered clinician who draws from a range of therapeutic approaches to support each individual’s unique needs. My name is Dr. Olushola Bakare, and my work centers on helping people recognize the strengths they already carry. I work with adults and older adults who are ready to feel more grounded, confident, and understood, in a space that is safe, warm, and free of judgment. To help make sure we are the right fit from the start, I want to be upfront that my practice does not currently include couples counseling, medication management, or completing disability, FMLA, or legal paperwork. I work with adults 18 years and older. If any of these are part of what you are looking for, I am happy to help you find a provider whose practice is built around that support.

I am passionate about helping individuals navigate the different challenges they face and build coping skills to create more fulfilling and holistic life experiences. From my journey, I can personally attest to the power of support, in its many forms. This support goes beyond clients I service but also to their families and communities. I believe that mental wellness isn’t just individualistic; but includes the ecosystem surrounding the person. My praxis acknowledges and aims to support the village needed by all.
I’m also passionate about the transformative impact of safe and brave spaces for those who often experience exclusion. My career has afforded me opportunities to build trust with LGBTQ+, Black, Indigenous, Latina/o/x, and Refugee communities across the nation. It is a personal privilege to center wellness and holistic care for all as ‘self-care is a radical form of resistance.’

Welcome! I’m glad you’re here.
I’m Jessie Presbie, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Massachusetts with over 10 years of experience working with children, adults, couples, and families.
I believe that reaching out for therapy can be both difficult and incredibly meaningful. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or simply know that something needs to change, you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. Therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and begin moving forward with greater clarity and confidence.
My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I don’t believe there is a “one-size-fits-all” approach to therapy. I want to understand your story, your relationships, your strengths, and what matters most to you. Together, we’ll work to better understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop practical tools to navigate life’s challenges, and create meaningful change that feels realistic and sustainable.
I want therapy to feel like a space where you can be honest, feel genuinely heard, and show up as your authentic self, without judgment. Whether you’re working through anxiety, relationship or family challenges, a major life transition, or simply feeling like you’re struggling to find your footing, I’m here to support you.
Taking that first step can feel intimidating, but you’ve already taken an important one by being here. I’d be honored to learn more about you and help you move toward feeling more connected, confident, and at ease in your life.
Jessie Presbie, LMFT
I bring a holistic counseling approach to my work with clients, with an emphasis on physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and psychological well-being. While exploring the nature and impact of mental illness is very important, I think it is just as important to help clients develop practical strategies to restore balance and learn skills for happiness and thriving.
My counseling approach integrates techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for anxiety and mood disorders; internal family systems (IFS) and eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy for healing complex and acute trauma; as well as exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy for phobias and OCD.
Additionally, I integrate current research from the field of positive psychology, as well as Eastern and Western philosophical traditions, into my counseling approach to meet every client's individual needs. I am an inclusive and affirming therapist who is humble and respectful regarding domains of human diversity. My sessions are an affirming and safe place for LGBTQ+ clients and anyone who is impacted by systems of racism, sexism, ableism, ageism, and other forms of marginalization by society.
I have several years of experience working as a therapist and have been working with clients in helping roles for over a decade. My background includes working as an outpatient therapist in community mental health, higher education, intensive OCD treatment, as well as telehealth and private practice settings. I have prior experience working in other helping roles as well including child welfare, public health, and home healthcare fields. Throughout these experiences, I have remained deeply committed to helping others heal, grow, and thrive.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about my approach. I look forward to working with you!

Together, we will create an individualized plan, where you approve each decision. The purpose would be to have clear goals, and monitor progress.
My experience includes working with various age populations, from 6-81 years old. Environments such as Youth and Family Services, child protection agencies, homeless shelters, and outpatient work have emphasized the importance of providing compassionate and quality care, with confidence to handle any complexities that life brings.
I have been a clinical social worker for over 20 years and began my career in the Boston area. I have been practicing in Connecticut since 2008. I work as a LCSW in CT and as a LICSW in MA. Work experience includes community behavioral health, medical social work, hospice, out-patient private practice, geriatric psychiatry, partial hospitalization, and acute in-patient psychiatric hospitalization. I have had the privilege of working with adults ranging in age from 18 to 100+. My combined work experience over the years has helped me to develop my present therapeutic style based first and foremost in compassion, with the knowledge that each client is a unique individual. I trust that things can get better so you can maximize the quality of your life. Let me help you to discover this!
My goal is to create a safe, collaborative environment where clients can explore their concerns, patterns or triggers and find strategies for healing. I feel that attention needs to be given to the interconnected areas of the mind, body and spirit. Addressing the whole – mind, body and spirit - and increasing self-awareness, will improve self-acceptance and strengthen self-compassion.
Areas of clinical work with adults for individual therapy include, but are not limited to - anxiety, depression, stress related to change and life transitions – college, retirement, move to assisted living, etc.…aging, caregiver stress, grief/loss, parents of adult children with major mental health and/or SUD (substance use disorders), separation/divorce, medical problems, self-care, self-esteem, early diagnosed neurocognitive disorders, and spirituality. Whatever your situation, I look forward to working with you toward your goals.
