Welcome. I’m a combat veteran and retired Army officer, Christian, husband, father, grandfather, and experienced clinical psychologist. I want to get into the root causes of your struggles or battle and find ways to overcome, change, forgive, accept, and move upward toward the light. It may not seem like it, but the darkness will eventually lift, and the light will surely shine again. Life is a battle in the heart, and I humbly accept that I will be in my own battle or someone else’s battle for the rest of my life. Like the weather, our emotions are powerful. Many days the sun shines, but the rains do come and sometimes a destructive storm hits hard (divorce, the loss of a loved one, cancer, suicidal thoughts, et cetera). It's a battlefield. When it comes to the challenge of relationships, so often, it is ego (wounded pride), self-esteem, and powerful emotions at the root of our conflicts. To understand these forces is the key to peace. Let's work through it! I have been honored to be in the field of psychology for 22 years since 2004. Through the years, more than half of my time was in the Army where I primarily worked with soldiers enduring anxiety, depression, trauma, Traumatic Brain Injury, and all the other usual suspects of psychological distress. It was a time well for the analysis of guilt, fear, worry, shame, pain, heartbreak, addiction, identity conflicts, and sorrow. I’ve also worked in the prisons for many years with some extreme situations (i.e., murder, severe mental illness, rape, child molestation, drug kingpins, gang leaders). So, no matter what your circumstances are, never quit and never give up! Survival is a noble plight!

Life has a way of pulling the ground out from under us — a career shift, a relationship ending, a loss, or simply the quiet feeling that who you used to be no longer fits. I've been there too, and that lived experience is at the heart of how I show up for my clients. I'm a licensed therapist with over a decade of experience helping adults find their footing during some of life's most disorienting chapters. My approach is collaborative and grounded — I don't believe in one-size-fits-all answers, so we'll work together to understand your unique story and build a path forward that actually feels like yours. Whether you're wrestling with anxiety, standing at a crossroads, or just feeling stuck in a life that no longer seems to fit — this is a space where you don't have to have it all figured out. Just come as you are.

My name is Swan Roberts. I am a licensed therapist, LCSW (licensed clinical social worker). As of now my earliest evening appt availability is 3pm. I love helping people through my work and I have been doing this for 6 years. I decided to become a therapist because I had a therapist that helped me ease through the transition of getting out medically from active duty army service, which inspired me to follow this career path. It takes courage to make the decision of facing the things that are causing you turmoil, including trauma, and I am glad you are here. I look forward to meeting you and help you transform your life through healing evidence based interventions: EMDR, IFS, SE, & CBT. After trauma, you may be overthinking, hypervigilant, anxious in relationships, struggling with people pleasing, and not feeling confident or competent even if you can rationalize that you are. With EMDR, IFS, and SE, I can help you trust yourself and feel more calm believing your resiliency and strength, to live your life fully. It is truly rewarding helping people heal from trauma, to see their lives, and relationships transform as symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder are replaced by confidence, security, empathy, and compassion. It is possible to heal and enjoy your life again, even for the first time.

Hello, my name is Ginger Van Meter. I look at each individual as an iceberg! There's a tiny piece of ice you can see on the surface but down below and much deeper is a giant piece of ice that no one can see. That giant piece of ice represents all the stressors, emotional and mental health concerns that go back many years. Sometimes childhood trauma or even current events can create problems that we just can't seem to solve. I will help you to break that ice down and possibly even melt the ice. I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker based in Bowling Green, KY who has an obsession with Dolly Parton, Pekingese dogs, and New Orleans. I cuss sometimes, I can't cook, and I can juggle. I have also been in practice since 2017 and have worked with clients experiencing substance abuse, severe anxiety, ADHD, depression, racial trauma history, sexual trauma, and grief and loss. I believe that therapy can awaken parts of us that hold more strength than we know and that learning more about those parts of ourselves is vital to healing. Therapy gives back to us the power and the peace that might be eluding us because of pain and confusion of trauma or neglect. I have seen the way therapy can heal and inspire change, and it is the highest honor of my life to walk alongside my clients in their journey. As a therapist, I still haven't found magic words to make it all better or take it all away. But in sessions with me, you will feel heard and seen. I will always keep your life and therapy goals in mind. I will support and challenge you with humor and sincerity. And did I mention that sometimes I cuss? When you're ready, I'm here.

My goal is to work with each person individually from a person-centered perspective. My specialties include depression, anxiety, relationship issues, behavioral challenges, post-partum depression, parenting, chronic illness, and grief. I am available to see clients in Kentucky in-person or telehealth, and Michigan or Minnesota via telehealth. The person centered approach means that the client is the center of everything from the initial assessment, to the development of the goals, to the treatment that is provided. It is important that you know you are accepted and with therapy you are able to address the concerns you have and learn to effectively work through them. I understand therapy can feel uncomfortable and the thought of sharing yourself with someone you don't know (yet) can be overwhelming. Give me a call and we can talk for an initial conversation to see if it will be a good fit.

I strive to create an environment where people feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward with greater self- awareness, emotional balance, and confidence.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for ten years now. You will always know yourself better than I can or will. From a philosophical and theoretical standpoint. I am overwhelming more of an attachment theorist, and have been known to use existentialism from time to time to help make sense of something. I guess the question that remains though is; can a butterfly flap it's wings in Brazil and cause a tornado in Kentucky, or are we all simply just products of our childhood and mirrors of our parents traumas? The duality of life. Attachment Theory vs. Chaos Theory. Both have value. I digress. My goal is to provide a petridish in which you can explore your self. Safe. Contained. Yet completely in your control. The paradox being, you likely already have what you need. I'll sit with you while you find it. I can give you my clinical opinion, or diagnosis, and recommendations along the way as well if you'd like that. I can just sit and listen. I can play devils advocate. My job is to listen, empower, observe, and provide feedback when requested.

Hi, I'm Chris, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC-S) with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field helping individuals with a wide range of emotional and life issues. I use evidence-based therapeutic strategies as well as a person-centered approach to individualize your needs, abilities and means to achieve your goals. Having lived, studied & worked in rural America, large cities, military, civilian, blue and white collar jobs, I relate to a wide spectrum of people. If you’re looking for an ally who can offer hope while centering on achievable goals, an empathetic ear to hear underlying solutions to your problems, a way forward to tap into your inherent strengths and skills, then get in touch and lets make life better. I work with individuals who have likely been struggling for many years, sometimes have more than one identified issue and are unsure of how to change how they feel, improve their relationships or see things getting better for themselves. Typically, core issues can be identified within the first few sessions along with a plan to manage them.

My name is Jacqueline. I am a licensed clinical mental health therapist in Kentucky. I have been in this field for 14 years and have a genuine passion for the work I do. While I specialize in addiction, trauma and grief, I have worked with individuals on an individual as well as group level, focusing on a variety of areas of mental health issues. My approach is more of an eclectic approach. I do not insist on using any particular modality for each client, but rather, I like to development my approach and methods toward and around the individual needs of each specific client I serve. I find fulfillment in being able to help those in need, to overcome obstacles they are faced with. Everyone deserves to find their place of happiness and true contentment and to be able to reach the highest level of satisfaction in themselves and where their lives are at and going. It can be difficult to see and experience when you are weighed down with all the stressors life presents. I look forward to meeting you and being able to go on your journey with you.
