My treatment methods

EMDR

I love using EMDR as a modality to help connect your body and your mind. We have more power than we give ourselves credit for. EMDR helps get us out of the negative loop and reduces the impacts of trauma. I use eye movement and tapping. I use other tools like meditation, body scanning and sound therapy to help reduce the impacts of trauma.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps people manage challenges by changing unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors to improve mood and reactions. It's a structured, practical, and goal-oriented therapy that teaches coping skills to break cycles of negative thinking, feelings, and actions, and can be used for various mental health issues like depression and anxiety, as well as physical health conditions such as chronic pain and insomnia. Focus on the Present: CBT concentrates on current problems and the connections between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, rather than dwelling on the past. Identifying Unhelpful Patterns: A therapist helps you recognize negative thought patterns, beliefs, and behaviors that contribute to difficulties. Changing Thought Patterns: You learn to challenge and replace unhealthy thoughts with more realistic and positive self-talk. Developing Coping Skills: CBT provides practical, self-help strategies and coping mechanisms to manage difficult situations and improve your quality of life.
