Hello, my name is Jenny and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have 12 years of full-time experience in various venues, such as corrections, community, crisis, hospital, and an outpatient counseling. Our path is marked by significant people and experiences that impact our attachment, mindset, and worldview. Some are positive, and some are painful, both leaving a lasting impression that reflects our identity, self-esteem, and sense of purpose. Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10 years of experience. I’ve learned that while clinical tools are essential, they work best when delivered with warmth and empathy. I have a Master’s in Social Work from LSU (Geaux Tigers!). I spent the last eight years working extensively with the Veteran population. This experience deepened my expertise in trauma-focused, evidence-based care, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and many other protocols. I believe there is no one quite like you, so I keep my approach individualized to you, prioritizing our relationship as the foundation for growth. Whether you are navigating difficult life transitions or daily challenges, I am committed to a practical, solution-focused partnership that honors your unique story and helps you find your own rhythm.

Hello, I'm Cheryl. I believe healing is most effective when we care for the whole person—mind and body together. After more than two decades as a counselor, I returned to school to become a Nurse Practitioner so I could provide more comprehensive care. Today, I combine both perspectives to help people find lasting improvements in their mental and emotional well-being. My background allows me to look at the bigger picture. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, sleep concerns, the emotional impact of a medical condition, or navigating a difficult life transition, we'll work together to understand what is contributing to your symptoms and develop a treatment plan that fits your goals, values, and lifestyle. I believe every person deserves to be treated with respect, compassion, and genuine curiosity. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor each session to your individual needs. My work draws from evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, psychodynamic principles, and other therapeutic approaches when appropriate. The goal isn't to fit you into a particular treatment model—it's to find what works best for you.

My passion for this work spans over 6 years in the mental health and substance abuse field, and it is deeply rooted in my own personal journey with addiction and mental health recovery. This lived experience gives me a deeply empathetic, real-world perspective on the hurdles you face. I am living proof that everyone deserves quality mental health support, and that it is entirely possible to discover vital, healthy new ways of living. I work best with adult clients who are ready to navigate complex situations, find clarity, and transition into a healthier, more peaceful lifestyle. I have worked with many different types of clients, including those with addiction issues, and mental health issues ranging from anxiety to schizophrenia. In our sessions, you can expect a warm, accepting, and non-judgmental environment. I am a direct and collaborative therapist. I don’t just sit back and nod—I am an active participant in your healing journey. My therapeutic approach intentionally blends practical tool building with deep, compassionate reflection so you leave with real-world strategies. Additionally, for clients who are looking to process deeper history, I provide trauma-informed therapy through EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Taking that first step toward therapy can feel daunting, but you deserve a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and supported.

My name is Miguel Lopez, a Hispanic male (He/Him/His) and U.S. Army combat veteran who brings a unique perspective to my work as a therapist. Fluent in Spanish and passionate about guiding people through life’s challenges, I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Walden University, a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Colorado Technical University, and an Associate’s in Criminal Justice from Pikes Peak State College. With over a decade of experience as a caseworker, substance abuse counselor, and therapist, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse clients facing real-life struggles and in need of daily support. Life can be tough, and we all face difficult moments—whether it’s a breakup, divorce, grief, the loss of a loved one or pet, or even a job loss. In these times, having an unbiased person to offer support can make a world of difference. I see trauma as an unexpected part of life that is often hard to process, but with the right help, it can be managed and overcome healthily. I’ve personally experienced more than my share of trauma, grief, loss, sadness, depression, and substance use, and I sought help to work through them. My approach to therapy is centered on helping people in the best way possible, always with an open mind. I often use Maslow’s hierarchy of needs as a guide, because I believe mental health is hard to prioritize when physical needs aren’t met, or issues like homelessness or substance abuse are present. I enjoy working with clients from age 5 to older adults who face Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, PTSD, Mood Disorders, Personality Disorders, and other mental health or substance use challenges. It’s easy to fight battles alone and suffer in silence, but you don’t have to anymore—together, we can work toward healing and a better future.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado and the owner of Thrive Counseling & Wellness, a virtual private practice dedicated to helping individuals find healing, resilience, and renewed hope. For more than a decade, I have had the privilege of walking alongside people as they navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic illness, chronic pain, and life's unexpected challenges. My passion for this work comes from a deep belief that every person deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. I know that many people carry invisible struggles while appearing to have everything together on the outside. Creating a space where clients feel safe enough to be authentic, vulnerable, and fully themselves is at the heart of my practice. I take a collaborative and compassionate approach to therapy, meeting each client where they are while helping them identify practical tools for lasting change. My work draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and EMDR, allowing me to tailor treatment to each individual's unique experiences and goals. I have a special passion for supporting individuals living with chronic illness, chronic pain, high-functioning anxiety, depression, and the emotional impact of medical trauma. I believe therapy is about more than reducing symptom; it is about helping people reconnect with themselves, build confidence, strengthen relationships, and create lives that feel meaningful and fulfilling. It is truly an honor to earn my clients' trust and to witness the courage, growth, and resilience they discover along the way.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working in healthcare since 1985, and I love my career with passion. I hold a BS in Psychology and an MS in Counseling, Marriage, Child, and Family Therapy. I have been practicing as a therapist for over 10 years. I am a Certified Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapist and have had the privilege of facilitating over 1000 hours of Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Journeys and Integrations. I am a Certified Clinical/Complex Trauma Professional (CCTP-1&2), which includes working extensively with individuals who have experienced complex trauma. Along with working with individuals who have experienced traumatic stress, I am honored and privileged to provide care for clients experiencing treatment resistant-depression, anxiety and PTSD. I provide Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy and Psilocybin-Assisted Psychotherapy in Colorado. My emphasis includes working with adolescents and adults, as well as the LGBTQIA2S+ population. You can understand exactly why you keep doing something and still feel completely stuck in it. With 20 years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I work with adults who are tired of repeating patterns that no longer work for them. My style is active, relational, practical, and conversational. We look beyond what happened to what keeps happening—what activates the pattern, what keeps it going, and where we can actually interrupt it. I work with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, ADHD, neurodivergence, relationship difficulties, serious illness, major life transitions, and burnout from carrying too much for too long. I’m LGBTQ+ affirming and welcoming of diverse identities, sexualities, and non-traditional relationship structures. I’m genuinely open-minded about how people build relationships and live their lives. You’re unlikely to shock me, and vanilla is certainly not a requirement for admission. You don’t have to clean yourself up for therapy. Bring the contradictions, questionable decisions, weird relationship dynamics, dark humor, 47 tabs of self-help information, and the thing you’re pretty sure will make me judge you. I probably won’t. My approach is integrative, drawing from CBT, motivational interviewing, attachment-based work, somatic and nervous-system awareness, mindfulness, behavioral strategies, and psychoeducation. I’m endlessly curious about what makes people tick, and I translate therapy concepts into normal language. I’m warm and supportive, but I’m not a therapist who just nods and agrees with everything you say. I’ll believe you about your experience while sometimes lovingly questioning the story your brain has built around it. I’ll notice patterns, contradictions, play devil’s advocate, and help turn insight into something useful outside the therapy room. We’ll probably laugh in therapy, sometimes about things that objectively aren’t funny. Humans are weird. Therapeutic fit matters enormously to me, and I have no ego about being the right therapist for everyone.

I was born in Odessa, Ukraine, and immigrated to the United States at twelve with my family as Jewish refugees escaping antisemitism. This experience shaped my understanding of safety, identity, and belonging. It taught me that love and connection are things we create intentionally, through effort and care – not things we can take for granted. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and my Master’s degree in Social Work from New York University, where I trained in Ego Psychology and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. During my school years, I came out as gay, which shaped my understanding of vulnerability, acceptance, and love. Later in my life, through continued internal work and community connection, I came out again – this time as nonbinary. These experiences inform my work with couples: love deepens when we are allowed to be fully seen. For over 15 years, I have worked within one of the largest healthcare systems in the United States, supporting individuals and couples across diverse identities and lived experiences, including many within the LGBTQIA+ community. That work reinforced what I know to be true about love: it requires communication, boundaries, repair, and the willingness to try again. I completed a 6-month didactic rotation at the largest health care system in the country and UCSF in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, a research-supported approach focused on strengthening bonds and restoring emotional security. I have also earned a certification in Level 1 and Level 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, an evidence-based method that helps couples grow friendship, manage conflict, and build lasting connection. In therapy, I help couples slow down, observe what is happening between them in the present moment, and make different choices.

I specialize in two things most therapists don't: sleep and health. Specifically, I help individuals who can't sleep, who are managing a chronic illness or medical diagnosis, or who've been trying to make lasting health behavior changes and keep hitting a wall. I hold dual board certifications in Clinical Health Psychology (ABPP) and Behavioral Sleep Medicine (DBSM), the latter being one of the most specialized credentials a psychologist can earn, and one that very few providers in Colorado have. Before going into private practice, I spent over a decade as an active duty psychologist in the U.S. Air Force, working with service members, veterans, and their families through some genuinely hard things. That experience shaped how I approach care: I believe in being collaborative, practical, and honest about what the research actually supports, and I don't believe in wasting your time. My availability is usually limited to Mondays, as I also work full-time as a professor training future psychologists and conducting clinical research.

Welcome! There is no beauty in "settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living." It is time to be courageous and see what might be causing you to settle. In the midst, I will use cognitive behavioral because I know it therapy works in actual clinical practice. While it may require hope, perseverance, and patience, you'll be glad you did! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Illinois, Colorado, and Florida. I received a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northwestern University (NU). I am trained with a systemic view of change, using empirically-based information that the profession and I know works. Additionally, I have a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling, focusing on Marriage and Family from Liberty University, obtaining clinical training in faith-based solutions. The convergence of ideologies from these two schools helps my aspirational core values of acceptance, appreciation, diversity and inclusion.

Hi, I'm Haley. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or tired of holding everything together, therapy can be a space to slow down, understand your experiences, and reconnect with yourself. I work with adults and teens who are navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, stress, and relationship concerns. You may be processing difficult experiences, feeling overwhelmed by your emotions, or struggling to feel connected to yourself and the people you love. I’m passionate about mental health research and committed to continually learning so that I can offer care that is both thoughtful and informed by the latest evidence. My approach to therapy is holistic and integrative, drawing from evidence-based modalities that support the mind, body, and emotions. I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches, including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic interventions, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), among others. I believe therapy is not one-size-fits-all, so my approach is collaborative, strengths-focused, and tailored to your unique needs, goals, and experiences. And most importantly, I want therapy to move at a pace that feels right for you. If you resonate with this at all, I would be honored to connect with you.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addictions Counselor in the state of Colorado. I received my Master's degree in Forensic Psychology from the University of Denver in 2017. After completing my Master’s Degree, I spent almost six years working with criminal justice involved clients - from substance abuse to domestic violence offenders. While I learned a lot doing that work, and it was extremely fulfilling to service victims and offenders, I decided to pursue working for myself within the private practice setting. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral techniques in my sessions, as well as being trained in Brainspotting for trauma specific treatment. I strongly believe in the connection between physical health and mental health, and do my best to focus on both aspects with the clients I see. I feel fortunate to be able to hear and share in other's stories and be a part of their journey to wellness.

Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across the entire state. If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near your address.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
