I know what it’s like to face adversity, and I understand how overwhelming grief and loss can feel. Whether you're coping with the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or another significant life change, you're not meant to go through it alone. Grief can make it hard to see a way forward, but healing is possible. With support and guidance, you can begin to process your pain, reconnect with yourself, and rediscover joy and meaning in your life. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping many individuals navigate the complex emotions of grief. And I truly believe that no matter where you are right now, there is hope for a brighter future.

Life can be complicated, and sometimes we find ourselves in places we never expected to be. Maybe you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or frustrated with patterns in your life or relationships. Maybe you have a pretty good idea of what's not working, but figuring out what to do differently is another story. Or maybe you're not quite sure what's going on, you just know something needs to change. Whatever brings you to therapy, you don't have to have it all figured out before you start. I offer online therapy for adults throughout California. We all need and deserve to feel seen, heard, understood, and accepted for who we are. Having a place where you can talk openly, sort through your thoughts and feelings, and explore parts of yourself you may not have had room for before can be incredibly powerful. Finding the right therapist is personal. Sometimes you just get a feeling that someone is a good fit, and I encourage you to trust that. Whether that's with me or someone else, you deserve to find a connection where you feel comfortable being yourself.

If psychosis, mood swings, or a diagnosis no one else wants to sit with has made it hard to find a therapist who stays, I do. Hey, I'm Alexandria. My work is rooted in one belief: symptoms make sense in context. Newly out of graduate school, I went straight to the work I wanted most. I was hired as the Intake Coordinator of a 24/7 residential program for adults living with psychosis, mood disorders, and the diagnoses society fears most. Five months later, I was promoted to Assistant Program Director. My work there laid the foundation for how I practice now, and for where my private practice started. People are never just their diagnosis. Symptoms are not character flaws, and, "what's wrong with me?" is always the wrong question. The real questions are: "what are you struggling with?" and "how is it affecting you?" In my practice, I work with teens and adults navigating complex mental health. This includes first-episode psychosis, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, bipolar disorders, as well as personality disorders. Sessions are held via telehealth across California and Washington when virtual therapy is clinically appropriate. What therapy with me can look like: a session that feels like casual talk, or a weekly vent, can actually be CBT, DBT, and solution-focused work in one, with questions that are not the obvious textbook ones, slipped in to help you think and question. Sessions are $185, self-pay, via telehealth in California and Washington when virtual therapy is clinically appropriate. I'm honest, and I've been told I'm funny. I'm a slightly blunt millennial who's seen it up close, and I'm rooted in research. But you're the expert in your story, and only you know what you've gone through.

I help Latinx/Chicanx adolescents and adults navigate intergenerational traumas, cultural distress, and family dynamics to restore personal freedom and reconnect with their authentic true selves. First generation born US or adult children of immigrant families may have been passed down generational trauma that is impacting your day to day life more than you may recognize. People who were the eldest sibling, emotional caretaker of their parents and/or siblings experience challenges with resting or taking things easier in life because of their need to constantly be on the go for others. I specialize in working with people who experience high functioning anxiety, sadness, irritability, dysfunctional relationships, avoidance of emotions, autopilot functioning, senseless purpose, hyperindependance, guilt, shame, overthinking, or a sense of unhappiness. I will guide you through discovering your own healing and personal freedom by using intuition, energy healing, and indigenous practices and knowledge.

Hello! I’m Gloria, a Filipina licensed clinical psychologist originally from Guam, now based in the Bay Area, CA. I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and have specialized training in treating depression, anxiety, addiction, and multicultural concerns, areas that continue to guide my work today. My clinical experience includes working in a variety of settings, where I’ve supported clients through identity exploration, emotional challenges, and major life transitions. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing, and tailor each session to your unique needs and goals. Before becoming a psychologist, I spent eight years as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a memory care unit, supporting individuals with dementia and their families. That experience shaped my understanding of caregiver stress and inspired my doctoral dissertation, which focused on the emotional impact of caregiving. It also deepened my belief that self-care and balance aren’t luxuries, they’re essential to our well-being. At the core of my work is the belief that therapy should be a safe, inclusive, and empowering space, one where your full self is welcomed and affirmed. I bring a deep commitment to cultural sensitivity, authenticity, and compassion, drawing from both my professional training and lived experience. Therapy with me is not just about managing challenges, it’s about growth, healing, and creating a life that feels true to you. I look forward to walking alongside you on that journey.

In my experiences in working with children and their families in various capacities for close to 30 years has given me a heart for caring. I have been a foster parent, preschool teacher and director, a child development instructor at a communnity college for over 20 years and a clinical supervisor to numerous trainees and interns who became wonderful clinicians. I am also the mother to 4 grown children (one with ADHD) and the grandparent to 13. My focus has been helping those with trauma by listening to their stories and helping them make sense of their views of self. Through the use of EMDR, healing can happen quickly and it is so rewarding to watch as my clients receive the healing they deserve. I love to support parents in their journey and give them the confidence they need to be the best they can be. I've worked with countless children and adolescents in a county clinic for over 20 years and have learned how to help them navigate life's challenges. All this, along with my Christian beliefs, have inspired me and given me wisdom and compassion to do the work I love.

I’m Melba — Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and founder of Rising Tide Family Therapy. I’m especially drawn to working with people navigating the tension between who they’ve been expected to be and who they’re becoming—particularly those who are used to considering everyone else’s needs, have a hard time disappointing people, or are the first in their family to do something different.. I come to therapy from a different career, which gives me a practical lens alongside my clinical one. You might come to therapy feeling stuck, anxious, overwhelmed, misunderstood, or unsure of what you want. You might be struggling with communication, boundaries, executive functioning, or simply feeling like you’re carrying more than your share. I help people who feel stuck in patterns of overextension — often the ones who've kept pushing until their body or job forced a stop. I take a strengths-based, compassion-focused approach to burnout and stress, helping clients find their footing and build something more sustainable going forward. We’ll look at both what’s happening internally and the systems around you, with an emphasis on identifying where you actually have room to make a difference. And therapy with me doesn’t have to be solemn all the time. I love a good TV or movie reference, a healthy dose of absurdity, and a laugh when the moment calls for it. My roots are in Kerala, India, and I was raised in San Jose, California, within an Orthodox Christian tradition. Today, I’d describe myself as spiritually agnostic. Given my own background, I’m particularly attuned to the weight that can come with collectivist cultures—the obligation, silence, and guilt that can arise when you’re the person who wants something different. I believe that tending to your own wellbeing isn’t selfish; individual wellbeing is part of collective wellbeing.

Hi, I'm Jason Markel, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 9 years of experience helping adults navigate anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, trauma, and struggles with self-worth. Many of the people I work with have spent years taking care of others, second-guessing themselves, or trying to meet expectations that don't truly fit who they are. They often feel exhausted, disconnected, or stuck repeating patterns that no longer serve them. Therapy can be a place to reconnect with yourself, understand what's holding you back, and begin creating a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in genuine human connection. I believe lasting change happens when people feel safe enough to explore difficult experiences without judgment. Together, we'll work to build self-trust, strengthen boundaries, improve relationships, and help you move toward the life you want rather than the life you feel obligated to live. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, identity questions, or major life transitions, my goal is to help you feel more confident, connected, and empowered in your daily life.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with a PhD and almost 20 years of clinical experience working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, trauma, burnout, and addictive patterns. My approach is integrative, relational, and strengths-based, but what distinguishes my work is the combination of deep exploration with practical change. I help clients understand not only what they are feeling, but why certain patterns keep repeating across relationships, work, family, and major life decisions, and what can be done differently. I work especially well with adults who may already have insight into their struggles but still feel caught in overthinking, perfectionism, people-pleasing, emotional disconnection, or difficult relationship patterns. Therapy with me is collaborative and active: we may explore family-of-origin dynamics, attachment, identity, trauma, and longstanding beliefs while also building concrete tools for emotional regulation, communication, boundaries, and decision-making. The goal is not simply to reduce symptoms, but to help you develop greater self-trust, flexibility, and the ability to live and relate in ways that feel more authentic and intentional.

I am a licensed therapist who believes that meaningful change begins when we slow down and meet ourselves with curiosity instead of judgment. My path to this work wasn’t linear; I spent fifteen years in a different career before making my own midlife transition to mental health a decade ago. That experience taught me firsthand the courage it takes to reinvent yourself. My clinical foundation was forged in community mental health and crisis work, where I had the privilege of working with a beautifully diverse cross-section of people—including LGBTQIA+ individuals, neurodivergent folks, elders and other marginalized communities. This rich background has shaped me into a practitioner who values inclusivity, honors identity, and meets every client exactly where they are in their healing journey. An experienced medical social worker, my niche is helping those recovering from chronic physical and emotional pain, mystery symptoms, illness and disease processes (including infertility, maternal loss, peri/menopause, terminal illness, limb loss, and caregiver role stress). My clients often have chronic pain, fatigue, migraines, fibromyalgia, back/neck/hip and other joint pains, pelvic floor pain, EDS, POTS, dysautonomia, CRPS, IBS, PMDD, and other chronic conditions. I especially love supporting those coping with feelings of low self worth, depression, anxiety, panic, trauma, and grief. I am importantly trained in Pain Reprocessing Therapy and EAET -- the most current research backed methods for recovering from chronic pain that I especially love to share. Because they work! I am also trained in EMDR, CBT, Mindfulness, and energy psychologies like EFT (aka “tapping”). I study Internal Family Systems Therapy, psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, and dream tending.  My authentic approach is also intimately informed by the wisdom traditions that have healed my own life. The mother of a child with a life threatening seizure disorder, I am not unfamiliar with suffering. I often turn to my spiritual faith, Jungian Psychology, nature, and the Wise Woman Herbalism Tradition. I am a life-long meditation, yoga, and reiki practitioner, and always a student of Buddhist Psychology. I find healing in stillness, puppies, humor, art, poetry, and the sacred. I love stories.

I believe therapy should be a place where you can come as you are and feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. As a first-generation Asian American and Christian therapist, I understand how faith, culture, family expectations, relationships, and life experiences can shape who we are and how we see ourselves. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California and over 13 years of experience working with children and families. My approach is warm, genuine, compassionate, and down-to-earth, thoughtfully integrating evidence-based therapy with faith and spirituality when desired. I have a special heart for supporting young adults, couples, families, parents, and older adults navigating life transitions, relationships, family conflict, motherhood and postpartum adjustment, parenting, grief and loss, self-esteem, cultural pressures, and personal growth. I believe healing often begins by renewing the way we see ourselves, our circumstances, and what is possible for our future. Our hardest seasons do not have to define us; they can become part of a story of growth, healing, and transformation. It would be an honor to walk alongside you as you move toward renewed hope and meaningful change.

Hi, I’m Regina, and I’m here to listen and support you with kindness and understanding. With over 35 years of experience as a Clinical Social Worker, I’ve walked alongside children, adolescents, families, and adults facing life-threatening illnesses and chronic conditions. I’ve also provided compassionate employee assistance counseling, private case management (ACMA) consultation, and psychotherapy — all aimed at helping you navigate crises, mental health challenges, and assessments with care and expertise. My goal is to help you find healing, hope, and personal growth as you build resilience for a healthier future. In our work together, I prioritize creating a safe and nurturing space where your individual story matters deeply. I practice trauma-informed therapy, which means I honor the ways stress and trauma shape your experience while gently exploring their roots. My specializations include medical, perinatal, legal, and workplace-related stress or trauma, all approached with empathy and respect to support your healing journey. Single Session Therapy (SST) is available for brief counseling support. References Yadav G, McNamara S, Gunturu S. Trauma-Informed Therapy. [Updated 2024 Aug 16]. In: StatPearls [Internet]. Welcome, I commend you for taking this courageous step of seeking support! I have been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California (LMFT 102540) for over 10 years. My specialties include treating PTSD/trauma, mood disorders, attachment and relationship issues, addictive processes, Jungian/psychodynamic therapy, and psychedelic integration for individuals seeking out states of expanded consciousness. I am deeply passionate about helping clients access their Inner Healing Wisdom. I believe that an individual’s encounter with their personal unconscious is essential for the healing process. Our unconscious is a sacred cave where we store our insecurities, fantasies, painful memories, deepest fears, and feelings of guilt and shame. It's also a place where we hid away aspects of our authentic selves that could not "fit" into our environment growing up. I believe that true healing happens when we feel safe enough to explore this hidden cave and integrate it’s contents into our authentic Self. My goal is co-create this foundation of safety and trust with you so we can explore the cave together with courage, compassion, and curiosity.
