I’m a down-to-earth therapist who believes therapy should be a place where you can be honest about what’s really going on. I’m warm and easy to talk to, but I’m also not afraid to challenge you when I think it could help. My goal is to understand you as a whole person and help you make sense of what you’re experiencing while figuring out what comes next.
My name is Melissa Chovan, and I have been in private practice since 2014, first in Illinois and since 2019 in Alabama. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges, with a particular focus on trauma-informed care and trauma treatment. My goal is to provide a supportive, compassionate, and culturally sensitive environment where clients feel safe to explore their experiences, develop healthy coping skills, and work toward meaningful healing and personal growth.
I am a graduate of Liberty University with two master’s degrees. My Master’s of Religion and Christian Leadership allows me to help people navigate spiritual concerns, and my Master’s of Professional Counseling allows me to better help others discover insight into their lives and how to develop holistic, working solutions.
I went back to school for these programs after getting married and having kids, so I’m no stranger to stress. I have been working in the counseling environment providing services in a variety of settings for over 14 years and have been a licensed counselor since 2015.
I believe therapy should provide more than a place to talk, it should equip you with practical tools to create meaningful, lasting change. I work predominately with adult males experiencing anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, depression, and major life transitions, helping them better understand the patterns that keep them feeling overwhelmed and develop healthier ways to respond. My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and tailored to your individual goals, creating a supportive environment where you can build resilience, improve emotional well-being, and move forward with greater confidence.
I would love to be invited into your story!

Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or caught in the same patterns? I'm Jasmine Broadnax, LCSW, and I help adults navigate PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, and work-related stress. As an EMDR-trained therapist, I provide compassionate, practical support to help you process difficult experiences, strengthen coping skills, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change in your life with confidence and hope daily.
Sometimes people experience emotional problems (e.g., anxiety, depression), behavioral problems (e.g., overeating, smoking), or relationship problems (e.g., excessive arguing, poor communication) that interfere with their daily functioning. These difficulties result from the interaction of biological, learning, behavioral, and environmental factors, which influence patterns of thinking and behaving. Negative life events can contribute to the development of self-defeating patterns of thinking and behaving, which some people can have difficulty changing. In my work, which I have been practicing for 42 years, I help people identify these self-defeating patterns and develop strategies for dealing with them. I emphasize the importance of practicing these strategies consistently, with the goal of handling emotions more effectively and behaving in more responsible and healthy ways. I focus on life pattern changes with respect to relationships, depression, anxiety, anger control, impulse control, and stress management.

Hi, I'm Caroline Petty, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C) clinician, and founder of Angaza Therapy & Consulting Services.
I specialize in supporting women navigating pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, motherhood, caregiving responsibilities, identity changes, and major life transitions. Many of my clients appear to be functioning well on the outside while privately struggling with anxiety, overwhelm, self-doubt, burnout, grief, or the emotional weight of caring for everyone else.
I work with caregivers of children with special needs, helping professionals experiencing burnout, and I also specialize in supporting immigrants, first-generation adults, and women navigating bicultural or diaspora experiences.
My approach is compassionate, practical, and collaborative. I believe healing happens when people have a safe space to explore their experiences without judgment while also learning effective tools to create meaningful change. My goal is to help clients move from surviving to living with greater confidence, clarity, self-compassion, and purpose.
Hi there! My name is Allison Bates, M.Ed, NCC, LPC. I earned my bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Montevallo and have been working in the field of mental health since 2019. I consider myself a very honest and personable counselor and prefer a casual and collaborative approach to therapy. I use an eclectic therapeutic approach mostly pulling from cognitive behavioral therapy, person centered therapy, and solution focused brief therapy. I work together with my clients to identify therapeutic goals and pull from the different modalities to appropriately challenge my clients and address their specific and individual needs.
I believe you are the expert of your story and you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming challenges you will face throughout your life. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
My name is Bill Massey and I am a licensed clinical social worker practicing in
west central Georgia and east central Alabama. I graduated from the University of Georgia's MSW program in 1993 and became an LCSW in 1996. I have worked in home health and hospice for most of my career with a strong emphasis on geriatrics and dementia care. I have experience in inpatient psychiatric settings and residential services as well.
I am looking to fill a niche that I have seen wanting attention for some time. For many years I have seen elders and their families in their homes but had to refer out any counseling other than crisis intervention to outpatient therapists. The problem is that I have been referring homebound people for outpatient therapy. This is not effective for many reasons.
With the help of Grow Therapy, I intend to offer my services of counseling and case management to people in the comfort of their own homes. I will become a mobile mental health provider to serve a population that has gone largely underserved for all too long. My coverage area for in-home therapy will be Lee, Russell, and Chambers counties in Alabama as well as Muscogee, Chattahoochee, and Harris Counties in Georgia.
I am opening up limited appointment times for virtual counseling as of mid May 2024.
Hi, I’m a licensed therapist committed to helping individuals grow, heal, and move forward with intention. I believe many of the patterns we developed earlier in life once served a purpose but may no longer align with who we are becoming. My approach is collaborative, practical, and empowering, integrating evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing to support emotional awareness, resilience, and meaningful change.
I strive to create a supportive, culturally responsive space where you can feel heard, challenged, and equipped with tools to navigate life with greater clarity and confidence.
Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or emotionally exhausted from constantly caring for others while neglecting their own needs. If you’re caring for an aging parent, spouse, or another loved one over the age of 18, you don’t have to carry that stress alone.
My name is Clint, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving clients in Florida and Alabama. I specialize in supporting caregivers of older adults and individuals with disabilities over the age of 18 who may be struggling with burnout, anxiety, guilt, stress, or feeling emotionally drained.
As a former primary caregiver for my father, I understand firsthand the emotional and practical challenges caregiving can bring. Balancing medical appointments, family responsibilities, work demands, and the emotional weight of supporting a loved one can leave little time to care for yourself. Since 2011, I’ve worked alongside caregivers and families to help reduce burnout, build healthier boundaries, improve coping skills, and create more balance in daily life.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on practical tools you can use outside of sessions. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, and supportive therapy to help clients manage stress, navigate difficult emotions, and reconnect with their own well-being.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. The first session is simply an opportunity for us to talk about what’s been weighing on you and explore whether working together feels like a good fit — with no pressure or expectations.
If you’re ready for support, I’d be honored to work alongside you.

Navigating life between 11 and 25 can feel overwhelming. I specialize in supporting adolescents, teens, and young adults as they juggle school, family, identity, and the pressure to always be “the strong one.” My goal is to create a space where you don’t have to explain your background to be understood, a space that honors your story, culture, and values.
I show up with empathy, honesty, and cultural understanding. I’m not here to “fix” you but to walk alongside you, helping you make sense of what you’re carrying and creating room for reflection, healing, and growth.

I founded Chaos Therapy around a simple but radical idea: life is chaotic, the goal isn't to eliminate the chaos from our existence but to find order within it. My approach is integrative and intentionally anarchistic; there's no rigid script or one-size-fits most protocol. Our sessions are collaborative, adaptive, and real.
I'm not your typical therapist, and that's by design. With over 20 years in social services, I've worked alongside people in some of the most demanding, complex, and often overlooked corners of human experience, in-patient and in-home therapy, homeless outreach, academic research, and private practice. That breadth isn't just my resume, it's shaped how I think about healing.
If you've been told you're too much, too complicated, too sensitive, too far gone, then you are exactly who I built my practice for.
