I am a therapist with nearly 21 years of experience helping clients navigate challenges such as depression, anxiety, domestic violence, and substance use. I strive to create a supportive and approachable environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts and emotions. My style is engaging, with a balance of warmth, humor, and a focus on accountability to help you stay on track with your goals. My mission is to provide the tools and support you need to create meaningful and lasting change in your life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive environment where we’ll focus on getting to know each other. We’ll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your goals, and any challenges you’re facing. I’ll also ask about your personal history to better understand your experiences and how they may influence your current concerns. This session is a chance for you to share at your own pace and ask any questions about the therapy process. By the end of the session, we’ll begin to outline a plan tailored to your needs, so you leave with a sense of direction and confidence in our work together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a provider is my ability to create a therapeutic space that balances empathy, professionalism, and accountability. I build strong, genuine connections with clients, helping them feel understood and supported while also challenging them to take meaningful steps toward their goals. My years of experience, combined with my approachable demeanor and sense of humor, allow me to adapt to each client’s unique needs, fostering both trust and progress in the therapeutic journey.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, goal-oriented approach that focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. With my training and experience in CBT, I’ve successfully helped clients navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress. In our sessions, we’ll work together to identify and change patterns that might be keeping you stuck, such as negative thought cycles or unhelpful behaviors. CBT provides practical tools to help you build healthier thinking habits, manage life’s difficulties, and feel more empowered in your day-to-day life. My goal is to guide you through a process of understanding the root of your challenges while equipping you with strategies for meaningful, lasting change.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a collaborative, client-centered approach designed to strengthen your motivation and commitment to change. It’s based on the idea that you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to guide and support you as you explore your values, goals, and ambivalence about change. In MI, we’ll work together to uncover what truly matters to you, identify barriers to change, and build your confidence to take actionable steps toward your goals. This approach is especially effective for addressing challenges like substance use, health behavior changes, and navigating life transitions. My aim is to help you feel understood and empowered to create meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
