I am a licensed professional counselor with a passion for supporting individuals through emotional struggles, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. My approach is holistic and client-centered, helping you understand the root of your challenges while building coping strategies that lead to lasting change. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe, compassionate environment where you can feel heard and understood, enabling you to make meaningful progress in your mental health and personal growth. My goal is to empower you to take charge of your emotional well-being and create the life you want.
In our first session, you’ll be welcomed into a safe, open, and supportive space where we’ll begin by discussing your concerns, goals, and any challenges you’re currently facing. I’ll ask questions to better understand your unique situation and perspective. We’ll explore what brings you to therapy and identify specific goals you’d like to achieve. This session is all about building rapport and laying the foundation for our work together. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer understanding of what therapy will look like moving forward and how we can work collaboratively to address your needs.
My greatest strengths as a provider include my ability to listen deeply and offer a non-judgmental, compassionate space for self-exploration. I’m committed to helping clients feel understood and supported as they navigate life’s challenges. By utilizing evidence-based techniques like CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing, I provide clients with practical tools and strategies for managing emotions, improving relationships, and fostering personal growth. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship to inspire lasting change and resilience. I aim to empower clients to build confidence, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and create the positive changes they seek in their lives.
I am best positioned to support adolescents and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and unresolved trauma. Many of my clients are high-functioning individuals who may appear to manage well externally but experience internal stress, overthinking, emotional overwhelm, or difficulty processing past experiences. I work well with clients who are open to self-exploration and motivated to gain insight, develop healthier coping strategies, and improve emotional regulation. I also support individuals seeking to strengthen their self-esteem, establish boundaries, and build more fulfilling relationships. My approach is especially beneficial for those who value a holistic perspective, integrating emotional, mental, and behavioral wellness to support overall growth and long-term well-being.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my practice, I use CBT to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns, replace them with balanced thoughts, and implement behavioral interventions like activity scheduling. I also guide clients in setting achievable goals and incorporate mindfulness techniques to enhance emotional regulation and self-awareness, helping clients better manage anxiety and stress.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
In my practice, I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients develop skills in four key areas: mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. I guide clients in managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and coping with stress in healthier ways, while promoting acceptance and change.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I incorporate mindfulness-based techniques to help clients develop greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while reducing emotional reactivity. My approach focuses on present-moment awareness and nonjudgmental observation, which can be especially effective in managing anxiety, stress, and overwhelming emotions. I utilize strategies such as grounding exercises, breathwork, and body awareness to support emotional regulation and help clients respond to triggers more intentionally. Mindfulness is integrated alongside other modalities, including CBT and person-centered therapy, to promote insight, balance, and overall well-being.
