Hi, I’m Parsi Kim, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California. My focus is to help clients navigate major life stressors that oftentimes require the need to make changes. I teach coping skills to manage anxiety and depression in addition to recognizing cognitive distortions to pave the road to resilience.
In our first session together, we will identify the barriers that affect your affect your day-to-day life and treatment goals to work through stress, discomfort, and in many instances, past traumas.
Having worked with clients from all walks of life for the past fifteen years in various settings, I will work with you to implement a realistic plan for attaining a healthier life balance.
I enjoy working with people who are at a pivotal crossroads. Starting on this journey can trigger anxiety but it is easier through a collaborative effort. There is a story that has built up over the years that reinforces limiting beliefs and doubts when making decisions.
I draw from a holistic approach but mainly from CBT. Over the years, many clients have learned to restructure their thinking to alleviate depression and anxiety. We will examine negative thoughts, feelings, and behavioral patterns while understanding how they intersect with each other.
Emotionally Focused Therapy, like CBT, is an evidence-based approach. We will work together to develop emotional awareness and healthy attachments to self and others.

I was randomly assigned to my therapist through Grow Therapy and feel incredibly lucky. She’s intelligent, warm, open-minded, and direct in a way that challenges me to grow.
