“Sometimes, you have to make a decision that will break your heart but heal your soul.” - Trent Shelton. Sometimes you just can’t. Can’t say no, can’t find motivation, can’t sit through another meeting, can’t stop worrying, can’t wear the mask and pretend to be okay, and/or can’t get out of bed. The list goes on, because at some point or another, we all feel like our struggle is too much to handle. But “trouble don’t last always” and you do not have to face your battles alone. Through a solutions-focused and person-centered approach, my goal is to help you nourish you. I help clients find solutions to issues involving boundaries, self-care, time management, trauma, and stress. Together we can visualize, explore, and define who you are and what you want out of life.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In the first session, we will discuss your questionnaire answers. You will be given the chance to ask me questions about my professional background and relevant personal questions. We will discuss where you want to start to create change in your life, and what you are willing to put in. Additionally, if there are safety concerns we will create a safety plan. Lastly, we'll discuss a potential plan of treatment that will be further discussed at the follow up session(s).
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My biggest strength is relatability. You can take off your mask(s) in the therapy room with me.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal client is more concerned with what their life feels like vs. what it looks like. At this time, clients who are in the preparation stage of change are my ideal clients. These clients are able to see their "problem," think about behaviors, monitor situations, AND are ready to put the work in the change their lives. If you are not ready to start therapy yet, but would like some tools and resources. Let me start by saying I felt safe to share my internal feelings with Jessiona. Her approach with me was very warm , yet direct and informative. She listened to me tentatively and asked prevalent questions to help understand my thought process and how I may have been affected from past experiences. Look forward to our next session.
