LCSW, 10 years of experience

I'm a mental health professional who focuses on helping individuals navigate their challenges and improve their well-being. My approach is centered on creating a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Together, we'll work to identify your strengths, develop coping strategies, and set goals that align with your values and aspirations, guiding you towards personal growth and healing.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, clients can expect a welcoming and open conversation where we'll start to get to know each other. We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any specific challenges you're facing. I’ll ask some questions about your background, including your emotional and mental health history, to better understand your experiences and needs. This session is also a chance for you to ask questions about the therapy process, express any concerns, and discuss what you're hoping to achieve. The focus will be on building rapport and creating a comfortable, non-judgmental space where you feel heard and supported.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a provider include my ability to create a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel safe to share their experiences. I am skilled at actively listening and understanding clients' unique perspectives, which helps in tailoring therapy to their specific needs. Additionally, my strengths lie in fostering a collaborative relationship, empowering clients to build on their strengths, and guiding them through challenges with compassion and clarity. I also bring a culturally sensitive approach, ensuring that each client's background and identity are respected and integrated into the therapeutic process.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve clients who are motivated to engage in self-exploration and personal growth. This includes individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions who are seeking a supportive and empathetic space to work through their challenges. I work well with clients who are open to exploring their thoughts and emotions, and who value a collaborative, strengths-based approach to therapy. Whether you're looking to overcome obstacles, build resilience, or develop healthier coping strategies, I am here to guide and support you on your journey.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT will be used to help clients challenge negative thought patterns as well as negative behavior. I have used CBT with many of my clients, which proved to be successful. It is important for clients to understand how their thoughts will affect their behavior, especially of their thoughts are negative in nature.

Supportive

Supportive therapy is a psychotherapeutic approach that focuses on helping individuals cope with their current problems and maintain a sense of well-being. Supportive therapy aims to provide immediate relief and reinforce the client’s strengths. Clients need to be heard and empowered and sometimes need encouragement and that is what I do for my clients.

Racial trauma treatment

Treating racial trauma involves addressing the emotional, psychological, and physiological impact of racism and discrimination on individuals and communities. Racial trauma treatment requires sensitivity, awareness of cultural context, and the use of various therapeutic techniques that validate and empower the individual. I have worked with several clients who were affected by Racism and understanding the impact of racism is paramount. My clients will be supported in this journey as well as empowered.
