Hi! My name is Sarai Wynn, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. I have been in the mental health field for 13 years. My experiences ranges from working with adolescents, transitional aged youth, and adults. I am bilingual and can provide services in Spanish. In my work, I truly believe in helping individuals gain a sense of self by joining and entering their world. Acknowledging individuality and being culturally sensitive to each individual has helped me better serve others in being eclectic, flexible in using different therapeutic techniques, and open to the ongoing learning. I believe all individuals have the strength within themselves to resolve problems with proper support, provided a space for healing, gaining psychoeducation on various topics, and assistance in navigating challenging situations. Most importantly, acknowledging how relationships play an important part of our lives, focusing on their identified community, supporting current relationships or support in building natural support relationships around them is key.
In our first session we will be reviewing our consent forms and answer any questions you may have. We will spend the next couple sessions gathering information on the what brought you to therapy and start working on goals you want to set for yourself.
Having with worked with a diverse population over 13 years, I have learned the importance of acknowledging individuality and being culturally sensitive to each individual has helped me better serve others in being eclectic, flexible in using different therapeutic techniques, and open to ongoing learning.
I enjoy working with adults and spanish speaking clients. It is important for me to be able to provide therapy services in the native language that feels more comfortable for them.
