I have worked in the mental health field for 18 years with people who are dealing with anxiety, depression, family issues, couples therapy and trauma. As a provider, my greatest strengths are my ability to build rapport with you and making the client feel heard and understood as well as assisting with finding and working through your issues.
I love working with clients who have experienced trauma, low self-esteem/confidence, depression, and anxiety. The primary population I have served has been: children, teens, families and women. I have also worked with men's issues.
I’ve been using CBT for the past 10 years. CBT has helped clients explore and challenge their reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. CBT helps to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other and thereby decreasing negative thought patterns and a new way a viewing the situation.
I have worked with many couples to aid them with improving their communication, attachment style, infidelity and other issues. I point out the couples communication style and build on how to communicate with one another, address specific needs and dynamics among other issues that arise.
EMDR helps to unlock past trauma, and works well with attachment issues, couples, complex PTSD , depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues.
