Hi! I am a bilingual, first generation, Latina therapist. I have worked with a diverse group of adult clients from different social economic, ethic, immigration, and educational backgrounds. Primarily, I have assisted clients with managing their anxieties within relationships, school, work and legal stressors. I also help clients that struggle with issues such as trauma, immigration issues, family stressors, and domestic violence.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session, I start with introductions, then we set expectations so you have a clear understanding of the treatment process. I also provide a low pressure space to discuss the reasons you are seeking treatment. I will also ask a few questions to assess your needs and confirm that we are an appropriate fit.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a provider is having clients feel that their sessions are a safe and judgement free space. I also quickly set this type of space in the sessions for clients.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT strategies to guide clients with managing catastrophic and/or negative thoughts. I also provide many new perspectives and reframe many thoughts to assist clients with reducing their symptoms. Overall, I help clients develop the cognitive skills to reduce distressing thoughts.

Trauma Informed Care

I use trauma informed care to treat clients with PTSD by taking time to build rapport and providing a safe space. I also guide clients in developing the skills in managing their symptoms inside and outside the session before processing their trauma.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I use a person centered approach to assist clients in building autonomy and comfort in their treatment. I remain mindful throughout the entire treatment for client's spoken and unspoken needs. I also encourage clients to communicate their feelings and thoughts about their treatment.
