My approach is collaborative, empathetic, and patient-centered, focusing on empowering individuals to take control of their mental health, develop coping strategies, and achieve optimal wellness and recovery.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I am committed to providing holistic, patient-centered care. I incorporate mindfulness principles into my practice, using techniques such as mindful listening, breathing exercises, and meditation to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and enhance emotional regulation. Fostering a mindful and compassionate therapeutic relationship enables me to empower my patients to cultivate greater self-awareness, resilience, and overall well-being.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I utilize evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to empower patients to manage symptoms, challenge negative thought patterns, and develop coping strategies. Through collaborative goal-setting and problem-solving, I help patients identify and reframe distorted or unhelpful thinking, leading to improved mood regulation, increased self-esteem, and enhanced overall mental health and well-being.

Every visit with Stephanie proves to me that I made a great choice when I picked her. I also really appreciate the culturally aligned aspect of having a black woman support me in my mental health journey. 6 out of 5 stars!!!

She was amazing. I felt heard for the first time in a very long time. She took everything I said & came up with a solution for me that I feel will really work. Took the time to listen to everything I had to say & didn’t rush me.
