New to Grow
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I practice from a deeply person-centered and strengths-based perspective. I partner with my clients to explore how their thoughts and behaviors impact their daily lives, empowering them to lead their own journey toward change. While I am entirely client-led, I offer a gently direct approach when needed, providing compassionate feedback to help you navigate roadblocks. My therapeutic framework integrates blend of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), Trauma Informed Approach, Crisis Intervention, Solution Focused Therapy and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and teaching skills such as mindfulness, grounding, and meditation techniques. I also incorporate recreation and experiential activities to actively build on your inherent strengths. Beyond our sessions, I am dedicated to helping clients cultivate robust, sustainable support systems to ensure their growth and healing continue in their everyday lives.
Welcome! I want our very first session to feel completely safe and tailored to your needs. Our first session will be spent getting to know your symptoms and completing/reviewing an initial intake and hopefully develop goals to guide our treatment.
I bring an authentic, relatable, and down-to-earth presence to the therapeutic space. My approach blends a gentle demeanor with targeted, compassionate directness, creating an environment where we can openly interpret and make sense of complex behaviors. I believe in breaking down the traditional, rigid barrier between therapist and client; by occasionally briefly sharing my own vulnerability when clinically appropriate, I work to destigmatize struggles and normalize the shared human experience. I am in the practice of interpretation of dreams to uncover underlying trauma, illuminate daily stressors, and collaboratively analyze behavioral patterns.
The clients who thrive most in my practice are those who are ready to roll up their sleeves and truly put in the work. I am here to help you figure out exactly what works for you by looking closely at your behaviors and identifying the support networks already around you. While I am here to guide you, I won't always be present in your day-to-day life. It is what you do when you are out in the real world that matters most. Your own actions, practice, and choices are what will solidify your healing and give you lasting strength. If you are ready to take charge of your life and discover just how powerful your own actions can be, we are going to be a fantastic fit.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my practice, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a collaborative tool to help you unpack the powerful connection between your thoughts, behaviors, and feelings. By mapping out how these three elements interact, we can pinpoint exactly where negative cycles start and create a strategic roadmap for lasting transformation.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into my practice to help individuals safely navigate the heavy realities of life that simply cannot be changed. Rather than wasting vital energy fighting unalterable circumstances, this framework guides you to come to terms with them and process the associated emotions. Together, we work to shift your mindset, building a helpful and constructive perspective that reduces suffering. By combining radical acceptance of the past with a firm commitment to your core values, you can stop feeling stuck and start taking meaningful action toward a rich, purposeful future.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
When emotions feel like a tidal wave, it can be incredibly exhausting to navigate daily life. Through Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I will teach you practical, real-world skills to manage your emotions instead of letting them manage you. We will work hand-in-hand to build up your distress tolerance, so you can handle intense moments without feeling completely overwhelmed or reacting in ways you later regret.
Motivational Interviewing
I utilize Motivational Interviewing (MI) as a collaborative, conversational tool to help you explore and resolve mixed feelings about making a change. Instead of telling you what to do, this approach taps into your own internal values and motivations. By asking targeted questions, I help you uncover your own compelling reasons for growth, building the confidence and clarity you need to take the next step on your own terms.
Strength-Based
I use a strengths-based approach which means we will look into the strengths you may know or not, to embrace and apply to situations you may or may not have control over. We will shine a light on what you are already good at and the strengths you've used to make it through tough times in the past, present, or future.
