My treatment methods

Eclectic

I use a psycho-social assessment strength based approach and an assessment of the barriers to the client-centered goals. Once the assessments completed the most relevant techniques from evidence-based therapy modalities are used, recognizing that each client is unique and the needs are unique. This may include Cognitive behavior therapy, mindfulness, interpersonal therapy and family therapy.

Faith based therapy

The Faith based therapy is used to draw on the clients faith ideology, practices and cultural background as launching pads to identify areas of stress and how the clients practices can serve as a strength to resolve stress or disharmony.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

This Cognitive Behavior Therapy is used to explore the information gathered in the psycho-social assessment that the clients desires to address in movement from unhelpful and unhealthy to helpful and healthy thoughts and behaviors.

Grief Therapy

The trauma associated with grief and grief recovery is different for each client. Based upon the psycho-social assessment the tools of grief therapy are drawn from strengths of the clients history and works to open up the space for self-reflection, impact and hopes in living with healthy grief.
