I wholeheartedly believe in the power of therapy. Therapy is a great opportunity to work with someone who will provide you with a safe space, support, and tools you need to feel more insightful, self-aware, grounded and ultimately, create change. My role as a therapist is one of empowering my clients on their path to internal growth, self-love, and gaining a better understanding of themselves. My approach is to develop a caring, non-judgmental and trusting relationship with my clients. I believe in client-centered therapy where my clients can feel free and comfortable to navigate and find solutions to life’s challenges.
Clients can expect to take away a sense of validation, trust, and empowerment from sessions with me. I focus on finding solutions and empowering clients to find their own strength and voice while navigating life's challenges.
I use an eclectic, integrative, and collaborative approach. I have experience in cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused models and incorporate the mind-body-spirit connection to improve overall mental health. Additionally, I am able to integrate a spiritual perspective into my therapeutic work.
The issues I work with are related to grief and loss, anxiety, transitions, maternal issues, depression, self-esteem, stress management, parenting, and relationships. I have worked with a span of ages including preschool age through adulthood over the past 20 years in community mental health, school-based, and clinic settings.
