When human beings experience trauma or severe life stressors, it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel. My passion is to bring healing and teach coping skills. I help my clients to find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships so they can know themselves as complete, whole and safe. I utilize CBT, Solution Focus Therapy and MI as my preferred modalities and I believe in person centered therapy as it allows me to build stronger rapport between myself and my clients.
In the first session I like the to make very conversational. Of course I ask questions but but I want to create a safe space to make it feel more natural and not like an interview.
My greatest strength as a provider is to meet my clients where they are at. It's important for me to build strong rapport and for my clients to feel supported. But at the same time when ready, giving them the nudge in the direction that they are asking for. I create a safe space so my clients can always feel comfortable speaking with me.
I have worked very closely with people who have experience all different forms of trauma including PTSD, Adjustment issues to life changes, depression, relationship issues and parental issues.
