New to Grow
Growing up isn't always easy. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or the many transitions that come with adolescence and young adulthood, you don't have to face it alone. I specialize in helping teens and young adults better understand themselves, build healthy coping skills, heal from difficult experiences, and gain confidence as they move toward the life they want. My journey to becoming a therapist began in child welfare, where I witnessed firsthand the resilience of young people and the complex challenges many families face. For more than 10 years, I've been committed to serving underserved communities and providing a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. My goal is to walk alongside you, helping you navigate life's challenges while building the tools and confidence needed to reach your personal goals.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, taking the first step is a big deal, and I'm glad you're here. Our first session is all about getting to know you, not just the challenges you're facing, but who you are as a person. We'll talk about what led you to seek therapy, what's important to you, and what you'd like life to look like moving forward. My priority is creating a space where you feel safe, heard, and comfortable enough to be yourself. Together, we'll build a plan that fits your goals and move at a pace that feels right for you.
I believe therapy isn't one-size-fits-all. One of my greatest strengths is tailoring treatment to you, your personality, interests, strengths, and goals. Together, we'll find coping strategies that actually fit your life. If you hate getting your hands dirty, I'm not going to suggest gardening. If traditional journaling isn't your thing, we'll find another approach that feels more natural and sustainable. I also believe growth happens when we're willing to gently challenge the thoughts and beliefs that may be keeping us stuck. I'll help you recognize unhelpful thinking patterns while providing support, encouragement, and practical tools to create meaningful change. Above all, I strive to meet you where you are. Whether you're ready to dive into deeper work or simply need a safe space to process what's been happening, I'll adapt our sessions to your needs, not just the interventions I'm most familiar with. My goal is to create therapy that feels authentic, collaborative, and effective for you, because the best therapy is the kind that fits you, not the other way around.
I am passionate about working with adolescents, transitional-age youth, and young adults who are ready to move beyond simply "getting by" and start building the life they envision for themselves. My ideal clients recognize that anxiety, depression, trauma, or unhealthy coping patterns have become barriers to reaching their goals, forming healthy relationships, or feeling confident about their future, and they're ready to begin changing that. I work best with clients who may not have all the answers but are willing to show up, be curious, and take small steps toward healing and growth. Whether you're navigating school, college, work, relationships, identity, or major life transitions, we'll work together to help you develop the tools and confidence to thrive, not just survive. I also believe healing doesn't happen in isolation. For adolescents especially, I enjoy partnering with families to better understand mental health as a shared journey. Together, we can strengthen communication, increase understanding, and recognize the important role each family member plays in supporting lasting growth and recovery.
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help you notice how your thoughts affect your feelings and actions, so together we can replace unhelpful patterns with healthier, more balanced ways of thinking and coping.
Motivational Interviewing
I use motivational interviewing to help you explore what matters most to you, build confidence in your ability to make changes, and move toward your goals at your own pace.
Attachment-based
I use an attachment-based approach to help you understand how past relationships may be shaping your current ones, challenge unhealthy relationship patterns, and heal emotional wounds so you can build healthier, more secure connections.
Psychoeducation
I believe that understanding what you're experiencing is an important part of healing. I'll help you learn about your emotions, stress, trauma, anxiety, or other challenges so they feel less overwhelming and you can respond to them with greater confidence and healthier coping skills.
Trauma Informed Care
I use a trauma-informed approach by creating a safe, supportive space where we move at your pace, recognize how past experiences may be affecting you today, and focus on healing without judgment.
