(she/her)
Hi, I’m Amanda – I’m really glad you’re here. Reaching out for support takes courage, and this first step speaks to your strength and self-awareness. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience supporting adults facing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, codependency, low self-esteem, identity concerns, and life transitions. I offer a non-judgmental, supportive environment that’s centered on your needs and experiences. My approach is holistic and person-centered, focusing on your emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. I see each person as unique and will strive to understand and honor who you are as an individual. Together, we’ll work to build hope, develop insight, and make meaningful choices that move you toward the life you want to live. My goal is to help you feel empowered, supported, and truly seen throughout your journey. If you're ready to take the next step, I’m here to walk alongside you.
In our first session, my goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel comfortable sharing your story. I come with genuine curiosity to understand your experiences, strengths, and what brought you here. There’s no pressure—this time is about you. We’ll explore your challenges and goals while building trust and collaboration. It’s all about getting to know you and figuring out how we can best work together to support your journey.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my compassionate ability to truly see and honor people for who they are. I create a gentle yet motivating space where clients feel safe to be their authentic selves and are encouraged to grow at their own pace. I bring valuable experience working with individuals who have chosen non-traditional career paths, those facing substance use challenges, and people living with serious mental illness. I deeply respect and value the uniqueness of every person and the choices they make, which allows me to meet clients with genuine acceptance and understanding. This combination of empathy, respect for individuality, and real-world experience helps me support clients in building confidence, finding hope, and making meaningful progress on their journey.
My ideal client is someone ready to take a brave step toward greater emotional and mental well-being, whether facing anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, low self-esteem, identity questions, codependency, or life transitions. You may not always feel ready for change, and that’s okay—I’m here to meet you where you are, honoring your unique pace and journey. You value a collaborative, supportive space where you are truly seen and your individuality is respected. Together, we’ll build on your strengths and resources to foster hope and empower you to make meaningful choices aligned with your values. If you’re seeking a safe, non-judgmental environment to grow, heal, and move toward a life filled with more clarity, resilience, and possibility, I’m here to help you get there—and excited to be part of your journey.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In our work together, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a practical and evidence-based approach that helps us clearly see the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. A key focus is identifying and changing unhelpful thought patterns that influence how you feel and act. By shifting these thoughts and behaviors, we work toward meaningful, lasting change. This collaborative process is designed to empower you to move forward at a pace that feels right for you.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I use mindfulness in our work to help you slow down and connect with what’s happening in both your mind and body. By bringing gentle awareness to your thoughts and physical sensations, you can start to respond with more clarity and calm. It’s a simple but powerful way to reduce stress, feel more grounded, and reconnect with yourself.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing, a collaborative approach that meets you exactly where you are in your journey. I understand that change isn’t always easy or immediate—and sometimes, you might not feel ready to take big steps. Together, we’ll explore your own values and goals, gently uncover what’s important to you, and build your motivation to move toward the changes you want, at a pace that feels right. This approach respects your autonomy and supports you in finding your own reasons and strengths to grow.
Strength-Based
A strengths-based approach focuses on your unique talents, resources, and resilience. I believe that identifying and understanding our strengths helps us better navigate our life journey. Instead of just focusing on challenges, we’ll build on what’s already working well in your life to support your growth and healing. This positive, empowering perspective helps you tap into your own strengths to overcome obstacles and create meaningful change.
