Hello, I'm Dr. Kenji Jones, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with greater clarity, confidence, and resilience. My approach is warm, affirming, and solution-focused, creating a supportive space where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered. I work with adults and young adults seeking support with anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationships, self-esteem, and personal growth. Together, we'll build practical tools to help you achieve meaningful and lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to therapy. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, relationships, strengths, and goals for treatment. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and determine whether we're a good fit. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. Together, we'll begin identifying your goals and developing a plan to help you move toward healing, growth, and meaningful change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a combination of clinical expertise, compassion, authenticity, and real-world experience to the therapeutic relationship. Clients often appreciate my warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental approach, which helps them feel comfortable discussing difficult topics. I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued while also being challenged to grow. My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and solution-focused, balancing emotional support with practical strategies that clients can apply in their daily lives. I believe in meeting clients where they are, honoring their unique experiences, and helping them build upon their strengths to create meaningful and lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or uncertain about their next steps in life. I work well with adults, young adults, college students, and women who are navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, grief, self-esteem concerns, or personal growth. Many of my clients are seeking greater balance, emotional wellness, confidence, and a renewed sense of purpose. Together, we create practical strategies that foster resilience, healing, and meaningful change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we'll identify unhelpful thinking patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress and develop healthier ways of responding to life's challenges. CBT can be especially helpful for managing anxiety, depression, stress, and self-doubt.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients identify their strengths, build on past successes, and create practical solutions to current challenges. Rather than focusing solely on problems, we'll work together to identify what is already working in your life and develop realistic steps toward your goals. This approach can help you gain clarity, increase confidence, and move forward with purpose.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe that every individual has the capacity for growth and healing when provided with a supportive environment. Using a person-centered approach, I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can openly explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Together, we'll work at a pace that feels comfortable while building self-awareness, confidence, and personal insight.

Motivational Interviewing

Making changes can be difficult, especially when you're feeling uncertain or stuck. Motivational Interviewing helps clients explore their thoughts and feelings about change in a supportive and collaborative way. Together, we'll identify barriers, increase motivation, and strengthen your confidence so you can take meaningful steps toward the life you want to create.

Strength-Based

I believe that every person possesses strengths, resilience, and abilities that can support their healing journey. Through a strengths-based approach, we'll identify your existing resources, successes, and personal qualities to help you overcome challenges and achieve your goals. Rather than focusing solely on what's wrong, we'll build upon what's already strong within you.
