Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California. Are you trying to recover from trauma? Having relationship issues? Struggle with Depression and Anxiety? I am here for you. I have held many different hats through my social work experience allowing my true passions to emerge. I have experience working with individuals with a history of trauma, depression, anxiety, low self esteem, relationship issues, parenting skills, career burnout, and grief. Healing their trauma can heal other parts of their lives as well. My approach to therapy is tailored to the individual. I maintain a realistic approach to therapy and keep it client centered. You are the expert in your life, I am just a bonus to help navigate some of the storm.
In our first session, we will get to know one another. I will ask a lot of questions to get to know you and your presenting problems that have caused you to seek treatment. Together we will come up with goals for treatment. During this session we will talk about agreements and expectations for therapy that both of us will understand and accommodate. I also keep it light and add a little bit of humor to lighten the process.
Having worked in a variety of settings over the years, I’ve developed a deep and well-rounded expertise in supporting others. My background includes experience in both Child Welfare and Community Mental Health, giving me a strong understanding of the different levels of involvement and impact these systems can have on individuals and families. I have worked extensively with issues such as generational trauma, relationship challenges, co-parenting, and overall mental health—making this population my true passion. I hold a special place in my heart for professionals who work with trauma every day, as I understand firsthand the emotional toll this can take. Throughout my career, I’ve held various leadership roles that have allowed me to work with diverse populations in multiple capacities, further enriching my approach. I also have several years of experience working with Christian organizations, which has helped me grow in my understanding of spiritual healing. I value integrating a person’s faith and spirituality into the therapeutic process when appropriate, recognizing how important it can be in the journey toward healing. I am always striving to grow as a therapist and continue learning new approaches to better support my clients on their healing journeys.
I love working with adults who are ready to dive into their trauma, triggers, symptoms, and improve their overall well-being. I have worked with a variety of clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma related symptoms, and PTSD. I have worked with those who are first responders who are struggling with the job related trauma and burnout. I have worked with those who are seeking to understand their struggles through a spiritual lens. With my past experience I am able to provide an additional level of insight and understanding to these specific areas.
I have utilized Christian Based methods during therapy sessions with clients who seek to overcome their mental health challenges and heal spiritually. This method has been successful when working with clients who view their mental health challenges through a spiritual lens.
I have utilized CBT as a foundation for my therapy practice. I have utilized CBT to assist clients with gaining control over their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This method has been successful with clients struggling with distorted thoughts, feelings of being stuck, and self esteem. This can help encourage clients to challenge distorted thinking patterns and behaviors that may be preventing them from living their best lives and inspire different perspectives and more effective coping skills to promote their overall well-being.
The Humanistic method has been one of the major pillars of my therapeutic practice. I have assisted clients with navigating their own free will and self empowerment to find freedom and healing in their mental health journey.
People want to understand the "why" behind mental health. I have helped provide psychoeducation to clients wanting to understand their trauma, their triggers, and other mental health related struggles.
I most frequently use Solution Focused Therapy modalities to help clients see within themselves their own strengths, skills, and abilities to create a better life for themselves.
