Hello. My name is Brian Kaufman. I am a licensed clinical social worker. I am licensed in California with over 20 years of professional experience. I believe in treating everyone with dignity, respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My commitment to you is to be by your side every step of the way. I believe there is goodness inside of everyone and I will be sure to point out to you where that goodness is inside of you. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!

I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. But I will tell it to you straight exactly what you need to hear and I will put you to work.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My experience and expertise. I have treated a lot of clients with very severe mental illness. There isn't much I haven't seen before.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, anger management, schizophrenia and bipolar disorders. I also have experience with career and work related issues such as helping to find the right career path and dealing with difficult coworkers. I also have experience with LGBT clients and relationship issues. I primarily work with men and their relationship issues including divorce and handling issues within the marriage. I also work with other counselors on their unique issues.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have a great deal of experience with a variety of mental illness and relationship issues. I will listen and better understand your issue and together we will get to core of the issue.
