I am a provider with over 20 years of experience working in a variety of settings. I have worked with people from all walks of life, in varying ages and stages of life. I consider myself to be a generalist practitioner; however, I have specialized training in the treatment of disordered eating and body image disturbance. I am also an artist who believes in healing through creative expression. I am a registered art therapist (ATR) which means I have education, training and experience in the field of art therapy. I provide talk therapy, art therapy or a combination of both.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The process of building trust and a therapeutic alliance begins at the first session. Clients must feel they are in a safe space to express their thoughts and feelings. I believe this is the foundation of the therapeutic process and we build from there.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I utilize a variety of treatment methods: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Strength-Based, Solution-Focused Therapy; Mindfulness; Interpersonal Therapy and Art Therapy. I believe it is important to discuss treatment models with my clients to determine which may be best suited for them.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Over the past two decades, I have worked consistently with clients experiencing symptoms associated with anxiety and panic. This is an area of particular interest to me. I have also worked extensively in the field of body image disturbance and disordered eating. This work may require a multi-disciplinary team approach in which I provide mental health services. I enjoy working with clients who are in difficult and/or transitional life stages as they explore challenges they are facing. I have a passion for art therapy and I have adapted my work so I can provide art therapy services via telehealth.
