Life is full of unexpected ups and downs, sometimes causing individuals to walk through life with feelings of worthlessness, guilt, and shame. Perhaps you question your abilities at home with family, close friendships, or at work, which can lead to feelings of exhaustion and low self-esteem. Maybe you feel completely out of control, or perhaps you do not feel anything at all. Life can be overwhelming. It can be difficult to ask for help.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) can help reprocess traumatic experiences, reduce distress, and develop more adaptive beliefs and responses. When utilizing EMDR, I use empathy and compassion to create a brave and safe container that will allow you to process and reprocess trauma memories and beliefs.
I collaborate with you in CBT to identify unhelpful thought patterns, beliefs, and behaviors contributing to your suffering. I use a trauma-informed and empowerment approach to help you develop more adaptive coping strategies aligned with your values and goals.
Trauma-Focused-CBT (TF-CBT) uses trauma-sensitive interventions with cognitive-behavioral strategies. I focus on creating a safe and brave space to help you process traumatic memories through gradual exposure. We will identify and modify unhelpful cognitions and enhance safety and coping skills while prioritizing empowerment and cultural humility.
In family therapy, I use a culturally sensitive approach, narrative framework, and trauma-informed lens to help families understand relational patterns, enhance communication, and promote generational healing. I collaborate with you to identify strengths, explore sociocultural influences, and empower families to develop more adaptive interactions aligned with their values and goals while respecting each member's unique experiences.
Utilizing a person-centered approach allows me to create a non-judgmental and empathic space where you can feel valued and heard. I gently encourage you to embark on self-discovery, growth, self-forgiveness, self-compassion, radical acceptance, and actualization. Through active and reflective listening and unconditional positive regard, we will explore your inner experiences, emotions, and personal meanings to promote your innate capacity for change.
