Hi, I’m a psychiatric nurse practitioner who specializes in treating anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. I take a compassionate, evidence-based approach to care and focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship. I work collaboratively with each patient to develop personalized treatment plans that may include medication management, lifestyle changes, and supportive talk therapy. My goal is to create a safe, respectful space where you feel empowered to take meaningful steps toward emotional wellness.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In your first session with me, we will take time to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, trusting relationship. I will complete a thorough psychiatric evaluation, which includes asking about your current symptoms, medical and mental health history, lifestyle, and any previous treatment experiences. This helps me better understand your unique needs and concerns. Together, we will explore possible treatment options, which may include therapy, lifestyle recommendations, and medication if appropriate. Some patients choose to start medication that day, while others prefer to take time to think about their options. Every person is different, and my goal is to meet you where you are and move at a pace that feels right for you.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a provider is creating a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can feel safe, seen, and heard. I take the time to listen and understand your unique experience so we can build a treatment plan that truly fits your needs. I bring both clinical expertise and empathy to our work together, and I’m committed to helping you feel supported, respected, and empowered every step of the way.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I work best with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD, substance dependence, or insomnia, especially those who feel overwhelmed and are not sure where to start. My approach is warm, nonjudgmental, and tailored to each person’s unique needs. Whether you are navigating a recent life change or have been carrying these challenges for a while, I will meet you where you are. Together, we will explore what is getting in the way of your well-being and create a treatment plan that feels supportive, manageable, and grounded in real progress. You do not have to figure it out alone.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my psychiatric nurse practitioner practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help patients identify and challenge maladaptive thoughts and behaviors contributing to their emotional distress. I guide patients in recognizing cognitive distortions, restructuring negative thinking patterns, and developing healthier coping strategies. CBT techniques such as thought records, behavioral activation, and exposure tasks are integrated into sessions based on individual needs, supporting both symptom reduction and long-term self-management. This structured, evidence-based approach is particularly effective for anxiety, depression, and mood disorders commonly encountered in outpatient settings.
