Welcome! I am glad that you are here taking a step towards change. I appreciate the opportunity to introduce myself. I am a licensed clinical social worker with more than twenty years of experience. I graduated from the University of Southern California. I have worked in a wide range of areas supporting POC and the queer community. I have helped clients manage and cope with challenging emotional issues, life transitions, and relationship problems. I am looking forward to the opportunity to work with you.
If this is your first time trying therapy, you will soon realize that you are simply having a conversation with a person that knows how to listen and wants to get to know you. I will help you share your concerns and identify areas that you believe need change.
I have an eclectic approach. My theoretical foundations are humanistic and cognitive-behavioral. I can help you cope and work through the feelings that are bringing you to counseling.
I am a strong supporter of communities of color and minorities. I bring together the experience of working in forensics, HIV health, and the LGBTQ community.
I greatly enjoy working and have experience treating adult clients of diverse social backgrounds and ages. I have been supportive of minorities such as POC and LGBTQ. As a Latin X provider, I am able to provide culturally sensitive treatment to Spanish speaking clients.
