(she/her)
Hi, I’m Adriana. I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and founder of Caring Hearts Mental Health. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for adults in California. I treat anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, mood disorders, and related conditions. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, emotionally drained, unfocused, or stuck, you don’t have to handle it alone. I work with professionals, parents, and students who want structured, evidence-based treatment with clear follow-up and measurable progress.
Your first appointment includes a thorough psychiatric evaluation, detailed review of symptoms and treatment history, and a thoughtful discussion of options. If medication is appropriate, we will review risks, benefits, and alternatives and create a plan together. If indicated, I also provide supportive therapy alongside medication so your care feels integrated, not fragmented. Follow-up visits focus on monitoring effectiveness, side effects, symptom improvement, and making careful adjustments to ensure safe, appropriate, and measurable progress.
I bring over seven years of experience working in a large Los Angeles County hospital system, where I treated complex psychiatric conditions across diverse populations. My approach is collaborative, organized, calm, and medically grounded. You will feel heard, but you will also leave with a clear clinical direction.
You’re capable, responsible, and the one others rely on. On the outside, you’re functioning. On the inside, you may feel anxious, burned out, unfocused, or emotionally drained. You don’t want vague reassurance. You want clarity, structure, and a real plan. When we work together, you’ll receive thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric care with structured medication management and measurable follow-up. We track symptoms, monitor progress, and make intentional adjustments so you understand exactly how your treatment is working. You deserve care that feels thoughtful, respectful, and personalized, while also being structured and evidence-based. I work best with professionals, parents, and students who are motivated for change and ready to feel more steady, focused, and emotionally balanced. If that sounds like you, I’m here to help.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
With seven years of experience working with patients at a prominent Los Angeles County hospital, I have seen firsthand how transformative Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) can be. I use this approach to help clients recognize unhelpful thought patterns, reframe negative thinking, and build healthier coping skills. My time working in a busy, diverse hospital environment taught me the importance of compassionate, individualized care, and I bring that same dedication to my practice today. Whether paired with medication management or used on its own, CBT allows me to empower clients with tools to navigate their challenges and achieve meaningful, lasting change.
Supportive
I use supportive therapy to foster a strong therapeutic alliance where clients feel heard, valued, and understood. Guided by a humanistic perspective, I encourage self-awareness, authenticity, and personal growth, while incorporating positive psychology techniques to identify and cultivate the strengths and resources that empower clients to thrive. Through active listening, validation, and encouragement, I help clients process their challenges and develop practical coping skills. Whether paired with medication management or integrated with modalities like CBT, my approach is personalized to each client’s unique needs. My goal is to provide compassionate support that promotes resilience, self-confidence, and a deeper sense of purpose.
Integrative
Integrative psychiatry is at the heart of my practice because it allows me to take a holistic, personalized approach to mental health care. I believe in addressing not just symptoms but the root causes of mental health challenges by combining traditional treatments like medication and therapy with lifestyle changes, nutritional support, and mindfulness techniques. Whether it's creating routines for better sleep and stress management, exploring brain-healthy nutrition, or using tools like meditation and grounding exercises, my goal is to empower clients to take an active role in their wellness journey. By blending evidence-based care with holistic strategies, I strive to help clients build resilience, find balance, and achieve lasting mental health.
