Hi I'm Katherine, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) based in Pennsylvania. I received my Masters from the Marywood University. I've spent several years working in the mental health field providing support to teens, young adults and parents. With over 7 years of clinical experience, I'm a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker passionate about guiding diverse age groups through life's challenges, fostering growth, resilience, and self-actualization.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session sets the stage for a transformative journey. It's primary focus is on establishing a strong therapeutic relationship and ensuring we're a good fit. A strong client- therapist connection is crucial for effective therapy, emotional safety, vulnerability and meaningful growth.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My distinctive approach combines empathetic understanding with a steadfast belief in your inherent potential. Some of my identified strengths in practice are empathic connection, empowerment, and perspective shifting. I utilize these strengths by being able to provide you with a compassionate and non-judgmental space while assisting you with unleashing your inner strength as well as challenging limitations, exploring new viewpoints.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As a licensed clinical social worker, I possess extensive experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and chronic pain management. Our focus in session will be on identifying and reframing negative thought patterns, emotions and behaviors to promote healthy coping strategies and lasting change.

Interpersonal

My approach with Interpersonal Therapy as a brief psychotherapeutic will allow us to focus on interpersonal relationships, identify emotion patterns, develop coping strategies and improve communication skills. Ideally clients who are going through a transitional phase in life can benefit from effective communication and coping stratgies.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

In our sessions, we'll explore Mindfulness-Based Therapy to cultivate present moment awareness, reducing stress and anxiety. We will collaborate on mindfulness practices that focus on breath and body sensations, observation of thoughts without judgement, self compassion, mindful movement and meditation. By incorporating mindfulness into your life, you'll cultivate a grater sense of calm, clarity, and overall well-being.

Strength-Based

Strengths-Based Therapy therapeutic approach will empower you with resilience, confidence and growth. In session I will assist you with identifying and amplifying personal strengths, reframing challenges as opportunities, building self-efficacy and self-esteem, and creating positive relationships. By focusing on your strengths, you'll unlock your potential, build resilience and achieve lasting growth.
