Hello there, I'm Jessica Are you feeling overwhelmed and exhausted by everything you have to do, and still worried that you are not "doing enough"? The to-do list is growing, you are supposed to be enjoying this time in life, and happiness just seems to slip further away. I empower high-achieving individuals to overcome self-doubt, stop people-pleasing, and manage burnout. Together, we will figure out the root cause of your struggles and address them with long-lasting strategies. We'll be using an approach that emphasizes transforming your mindset into accountability and growth that will address the needs of your mind and body. Whether you're dealing with cycles of anxiety, depression, or a major life transition such as starting or ending school, switching career paths, or moving into new relationship stages, I'm here to help. Therapy is an important step in understanding the world around you and finding your place in it. It is important to me that you have a calm, compassionate space to unpack your current stressors, describe your thoughts and feelings, and express who you are. In our sessions together, I'll use evidence-based approaches to support our work together to create your roadmap of how to get closer to the life you’ve always wanted and are worthy of having.
In our first few sessions, we will go over what your experience in therapy has been like and outline the goals you would like to achieve in your therapy journey with me. We will start with what is happening now and I will provide practical techniques you can start using to get relief from your current stressors so we can later dive into what happened and why you do the things you do. As we continue to meet, we will unpack the past and present to help get clarity on the future. In each session, you will have an understanding of what is helpful to you and be exposed to other things that may be helpful to try. We will always touch basis on what is helping, progress towards goals, and the cadence of sessions that is most beneficial to you.
My approach in helping clients is to guide them in reconnecting with what is important to them in life and how to focus their energy on those important things. This is based on the perspective of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as it uses a wide variety of interventions to help people understand their own relationship with their thoughts, how to shift that relationship, and be able to move towards living a valued life. I use Cognitive Behavioral therapy to guide and teach those I work with in making the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and emotions and how those impact and influence their own behavior. Solutions Focused Therapy is also something I use to empower people to tap into their own abilities to resolve life’s challenges.
I specialize in supporting introverts who are overwhelmed with navigating societal norms and feel burned out on life. Boundaries with friendships, romantic relationships or family relationships can be challenging to stick with as they can feel harsh or inconsiderate to others. I have been curating strategies to help introverts identify their own internal boundaries and express those to others in a manner that is in alignment with who they are. Having clarity with your own boundaries and the confidence to express them eliminates overwhelm and burnout.
Adults who are at least 25years or older. My practice is really the best fit for high functioning clients as I am telehealth only at this time and cannot accommodate more than 1 session per week for my clients.
