Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), and have a Certificate of Competency in Problem Gambling, based in Pennsylvania. I received my PhD from Widener University in Pennsylvania and my Masters from Radford University in Virginia. It is through my time in the field that I have seen my passion lies in supporting not only people struggling with substance use but also their families and loved ones.
My name is Kelly, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with numerous years of experience in the mental health field across a variety of treatment settings. I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, build resilience, and achieve meaningful personal growth. My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative, drawing on evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Therapy with me is about creating space to be honest with yourself, strengthening your resilience, and beginning to build the meaningful life you deserve.
I have worked in the treatment since i was 36 and have 38 years of experience. My early experience was in the drug and alcohol and relapse prevention field. During that time i attended the Gestalt Institute in Cleveland, Ohio where I took 4 years of intense training. This lead me to find that therapy is not a method for me to figure out the client but a means for the client to gain greater self-awareness in facing their own life aspirations and struggles. I place focus on clients’ somatic awareness, especially breath, so being more in their body so they can try on new physical and intellectual styles in facing their world. I have a lot of knowledge about what is called the 12 step process and have melded together spirituality and religion in my own life. Prior to being a counselor/ therapist i taught school, painted steel bridges and other structures, and was a machinist at a large steel company, that like the many in our area have since closed their shops.

Hi, I’m Kris. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with training in EMDR and a deep commitment to creating a safe, compassionate space where you feel truly heard and supported. Outside of my work, I love traveling with my family, getting lost in a good book on my front porch, and finding ways to be creative. I bring that same sense of curiosity, connection, and care into my work—because I believe healing happens best when we feel safe, supported, and truly ourselves.
Hello. I look forward to working with you. My own background is one of growing up on farms, having little money and ambitious dreams. I did not know what it was but I knew I wanted to go to college and get out of the tobacco fields. My dreams came true. I ended up being a psychologist and a teacher, spending decades working in residential treatment then in schools, the last 13 years working with preschoolers and their families to prepare them to succeed in school. As a teacher, I taught many college and university courses as well as workshops, most recently to address grief and trauma. I am also an artist, a dancer and a writer and like to bring co-creativity to others.
In the early 1990's, I felt led to live and work at or near the world center of Quakers called Pendle Hill in PA. There I studied and taught Arts and Spirituality while also serving as a Psychologist in nearby schools. I came to see the importance of Co-Creativity (creating together a piece of life we truly want to live for). My specialties in the Arts have been writing, visual arts and dancing/movement from a "no wrong way" perspective. I incorporate these into the therapy process as they become beneficial.
For much of my life, I have also been engaged with my own therapeutic process. Having been the client for several years, gives me the perspective of what might be important to you as we work together, never assuming I know or forgetting to ask you.
In our sessions, I want to hear about you, find our starting points and from there develop action plans each session to work on the goals needed to find the life you dream of and are willing to work toward.
I have experience as a clinician in mental health, corrections and substance abuse facilities. Anxiety, trauma, depression, and coping with daily life are difficult challenges. I offer a strong therapeutic alliance and guidance along your journey. My most important end goal is to provide you with the answers, tools, and strategies to empower you to manage difficult challenges. My background in psychology and social work combines scientific and holistic methods to form an eclectic approach to therapy.

Maybe you found me searching for online counseling services or maybe you were referred here by a friend or family member. First and foremost, I wish you well. Life is full of challenges and we could all use a little help.
Currently, I am open to working with a small handful of clients online on Mondays/Tuesdays. My approach is inviting, and warm, and I use humor if/when appropriate. Working with a therapist should be tailored to meet your needs.
Some people need a safe, confidential space to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Other people prefer a more solution-focused approach. Working together, we will figure out what is best for you.
Please feel free to contact me. (Responses are typically in 48hrs)
Hello. My name is John Petkac and I have been providing psychotherapy services for over 29 years. In addition to clinical psychology, I have background and education in music education, philosophy, spirituality and religion. My background and life experience gives me an ability to see a larger picture of situations in life and offer unique resolutions to things that may be occuring.
I am a strong believer in the individual's ability to address and resolve their own issues. Through the process of therapy, we will explore what has been working for you and what has not. It is my belief and practice to treat the person, not the symptoms or the problem. We will work on building and adding to the skills you already possess to help you to build a more fulfilling life.
An integral part of this process is assisting you in an increased understanding and awareness of yourself. Personal growth involves seeing and making informed choices. Therein lies the importance of self-awareness - there is no choice where there is no awareness. Raising a level of self-awareness increases your ability to have and make choices.
Through exploration of these factors and possibly more, we will work toward a resolution that works for you and one that allows you to live a fuller and happier life.

All behavior is purposeful. This means that we never do anything for no reason. Even when our behavior appears confusing or counterproductive to our values, our behavior has meaning and purpose. Therapy is a setting where we can gain insight about the origins of our perceptions, thinking and behavior. With clearer understanding, we are better equipped to identify factors within our control and consider alternative responses to our conditions. We gain awareness of the needs that are being met by potentially self-defeating thinking or behaviors and have a special opportunity to practice new thinking in the safety of therapy.
