Hi, I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the State of North Carolina. I have 5 years of experience as a therapist, but over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. I received my Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Kentucky. I'm very passionate about helping individuals to address their challenges and live more rewarding lives. I am also licensed in the states of Florida, Kentucky and South Carolina.
I am career Clinical Psychotherapist devoted to aiding individuals, couples, adults. teens, families, and veterans suffering emotional stress and mental health issues. My priorities focus on persons experiencing anxiety, mood disorders, relationship and communication problems, grief and trauma recovery.
I am committed to illustrating how the vital quality of resilience can be acquired through learned coping skills and accurate self=perception. Activating improvement plans, achieving goals, and building confidence are the center of my person-centered counseling.
I have approximately 30 years of experience in virtually all clinical settings. I began my career working in a juvenile penitentiary (referred to as a 'youth development center) and after almost 6 years, left that setting and moved on to new opportunities. Hello! I truly believe that every single one of us has a powerful story to share. As Dr. Iyanla Vanzant reminds us, “It’s important that we share our experiences with other people. Your story will heal you and your story will heal somebody else. When you tell your story, you free yourself and give other people permission to acknowledge their own story.” I am passionate about connecting with people and discovering the richness of who they are, the good, the bad, and the beautifully complex. Looking forward to meeting you!
I help young adults and adults (ages 18–64) healing from childhood trauma and neglect who struggle with anxiety, emotional dysregulation, perfectionism, and low self-esteem develop the tools to regulate their emotions, build self-trust, and move forward without feeling controlled by their past. I believe there is hope after trauma.
When someone begins therapy with me, I want them to know that they don't have to continue feeling stuck in the effects of what happened to them. Together, we can explore and understand the trauma, look at how it may be impacting their life today, and identify ways to help them start feeling better.
I want therapy to be a safe and supportive space where clients feel comfortable expressing what they are feeling and what is bothering them without fear of judgment. I know that talking about trauma can be difficult, and clients don't have to navigate that process alone.
My hope is that clients can learn to understand themselves and their responses, develop tools to regulate difficult emotions, feel better about themselves, and begin to see their lives from a new perspective.

Hello there. My name is Joan I have been a social worker for over 25 years. Like you, I have had my own set of challenges and believe the key to overcoming life's obstacles is learning to plan and cope. We can't control all the pain that will come our way, but we can control how we react to it. Of course, this is sometimes easier said than done and we need help. I would be honored to assist you in your journey towards a happier healthier you.
I’m a therapist who keeps things real and meets people where they’re at. I work with adults dealing with trauma, stress, and life transitions, and my goal is to create a space where you can just be yourself without feeling judged.
I use a mix of approaches depending on what actually works for you—including EMDR, Client centered, CBT, DBT, or TF-CBT for trauma and an integrative mental health approach that looks at the whole picture, not just symptoms. That can mean talking through things, building practical coping skills, or exploring how your mind and body are connected.
I’m supportive, but also honest and direct when it matters. Therapy with me is a collaborative process—we figure things out together. My goal is to help you make sense of what you’ve been through, feel more grounded, and start moving forward in a way that actually feels meaningful to you.

Hi! My name is Laura Richards and I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Kentucky. I attended most of my education in Arizona and then finished up my Master's degree in Tennessee and I've been practicing for 11 years. I believe therapy should teach you something you can use for the rest of your life. I don’t want therapy to be a mystery—I want you to understand what we’re doing and why, so you can apply what you learn outside of therapy. My role is to help you develop the understanding and skills to navigate life with greater confidence and independence.
Walking with people through life's difficulties and struggles is a privileged, honor, and part of my purpose in life. I commit my life to helping people find their way back to the right paths that they want to be on to live out their purpose.
