I have extensive experience with individual therapy, working for substance use treatment centers, and working at various psychiatric hospitals. I have worked in roles including Behavioral Health Tech, Case Management, Primary Therapist, and Clinical Supervisor. I have worked with age groups ranging from young children to geriatrics. I firmly believe that in order to help someone, you have to understand them. In order to understand someone, you require personal life experience to truly understand where they are coming from. I am very passionate about what I do. People have asked me previously if I enjoy what I do. I inform them that in my perspective, this is what I "designed" to be. There is no "taking off the therapy hat" for me - this is simply who I am and my purpose. You will learn very quickly how dedicated I am to serving people. I am well-versed in both DSM-IV and DSM-5 (the manuals used to diagnose someone). I have dedicated approximately 31 years of my life to this. Many clients throughout the years told me in their words that I am the "best therapist" they ever had. I encourage you to hire me and judge for yourself. I was entered into two international honor societies (top 15% of students in the field across the span of 8 countries with a flawless 4.0 GPA). Please note: I am a licensed mental health counselor. If you are seeking medication management, you will need to book an appointment with a psychiatrist.

Ready to spill? My name is Nancy—licensed therapist, chai enthusiast, and your future emotional support human (if you want me to be). I offer individual therapy grounded in clinical insight, infused with millennial energy, and flavored with a touch of South Indian spice. I bring both cultural depth and relatability to my work with teens and adults across the state of Florida. As someone living with progressive vision loss, I know what it feels like when life starts to unravel. But I also know that healing is real. You don’t have to choose between honoring your culture and caring for your mental health, you can do both.Whether you're untangling your identity, spiraling at 3 a.m., or trying to doom-scroll your way out of an existential crisis, I got you. We’ll explore it all together. My approach blends several therapeutic styles: *Psychodynamic Therapy – to uncover how childhood and family dynamics still show up today (yep, we’re going there) *CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) – to help reframe those “I’m not enough” thoughts *Mindfulness – because sometimes we just need to breathe and not dissociate *Culturally Sensitive, Trauma-Informed Care – to support deep insight and healing Therapy with me is warm, collaborative, and real. We’ll laugh, cry, unpack, and grow (sometimes all in one session) You deserve a space where you don’t have to over-explain yourself, mask your emotions, or code-switch your pain.I offer that space and I bring my full, authentic self into it, so you can too. If you're ready to start healing, reclaim your story, or just want to vibe-check a therapist who gets it, book a consult or reach out. And yes, we can absolutely spill the chai together. :)

Thanks for taking the time to read my profile. I'm a short-term, solution-oriented therapist that focuses on identifying and relieving on mild-to-moderate mental health symptoms, likely related to newer onset life stressors: family and relationship issues, school and work, grief and loss, medical diagnoses, etc. Though I would love to serve all that are seeking mental health therapy, it's important that I remain within my scope of competence and scope of practice. Therefore, I'm ethically unable to accept clients seeking long-term/maintenance care or specialized interventions (e.g., trauma, OCD, etc.). My approach to therapy tends to resonate best with clients who are moderately motivated to truly seek out solutions to their issues and symptoms, and are willing to do the work- both in session, and out- to achieve the results desired. We collaborate to identify the issues, and put in the actual work to make change for resolution. Though I am a clinician that utilizes evidence-based practices and interventions, I would definitely say I'm also a bit of a life coach!

Throughout my career as a therapist, I continue to learn and grow, drawing from the vast knowledge available in the field. I am deeply committed to helping my clients embrace their true selves, regardless of their personality traits—whether they are humorous, quiet and shy, hesitant to trust, or feeling frustrated with the world. I believe that everyone is welcome in my practice. Recognizing that none of us are perfect and that we are all striving to make sense of life’s complexities, I focus on exploring my clients’ experiences with respect and understanding. I have a vested curiosity in the lived experiences of my clients and a commitment to their growth and goals. Change itself is inevitable, and at times can feel insurmountable, that said together we can work to direct the trajectory of where those changes may take you. A bit about me; I am Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have approximately 6 years of clinical experience. I am a born and raised Floridian - from St. Petersburg, FL - however, I spent much of my young adult life traveling and moving about (Miami, Jacksonville, Gainesville, Costa Rica, New Orleans and now back in the Tampa Bay Area). I received my Bachelors degree in Social Work, with a minor in Spanish, from the University of North Florida. In 2020, I graduated from Jacksonville University with a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy. During my graduate study, I completed clinical internship (1500+ hours of direct client work) with a Hospice agency as a bereavement counselor. Post-graduation, I was hired by that same agency and counseled surviving loved ones of Hospice patients through their grief journey and efforts to adjust. Surviving loss is manageable and grief therapy can help with visualizing a more hopeful future that honors your loved ones.

Through this position I gained experience in providing therapeutic counseling services to individuals and families who are going through major transitional periods in their lives (receiving a terminal illness, death of loved one, living adjustments etc.) As a result I am well experienced in dealing with depression, anxiety, situational stress, loss of a loved one, grief, and am understanding of how medical issues can affect a person’s mental health. I have also worked for Orlando Health at the Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies covering the ED/Triage, antepartum and postpartum units of the hospital. This position gave me experience with providing crisis interventions and psychotherapeutic counseling to patient's who have a history of severe mental health issues, or who are actively experiencing medical emergencies, traumatic events, domestic violence, manic/depressive episodes, psychotic episodes, and suicidal ideations. In addition, I provided education on post partum depression and child care. In 2021 I began teaching classes as an Adjunct Professor for the University of Central Florida's College of Health Professions and Sciences. I have also worked for the National Suicide Prevention Line where I learned how to deal with a variety of mental health and emotional crisis situations over the phone. I feel well equipped to help my clients deal with a variety of issues, weather in person, or online. I take an objective and collaborative approach to understanding problems, and work with clients to create strategies to address problems head on so that clients learn the skills necessary to achieve their goals.

Welcome – I’m William Sawyer, MSW, LICSW, LCSW Online Therapy for Individuals and Couples in Minnesota & Florida I’m a therapist who help people and couples when life feels really hard. Most of the people I work with are men and women in relationships with each other. Many come to me when they’re feeling hurt, lost, or scared their relationship might fall apart. If you and your partner are fighting all the time, feeling distant, or just can’t seem to fix things, I want you to know you’re not alone-and things can get better. Even though I’m part of the LGBTQ+ community myself, I work with all kinds of people. I have a lot of experience helping men and women who are married or dating each other, as well as people from different backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ folks. My way of helping is gentle, caring, and never judgmental. When you’re stressed out, anxious, or overwhelmed, I help you slow down, breathe, and see what’s really going on. We’ll talk through your worries and pain, and I’ll give you tools you can use right away to feel calm and in control. My approach helps couples talk without yelling, listen without shutting down, and start feeling close again-even when things seem hopeless. I also help people who are dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, or feeling different from others. No matter what you’re facing, my goal is to help you feel safe, understood, and less alone. Together, we’ll find ways to ease your stress and bring back hope. If you feel like you’re at the end of your rope, or just want someone to talk to who gets it, I’m here for you. We’ll work together to heal old wounds and help you feel stronger-both as a person and as a couple. If you’re ready to feel better, let’s talk.

I’m a licensed mental health counselor and marriage and family therapist based in Miami, Florida, with over 8 years of experience supporting individuals and couples through life’s emotional challenges. I work with adults navigating anxiety, stress, relationship issues, life transitions, and depression, and I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and supported. My style is collaborative, grounded, and compassionate. I believe therapy should be a safe place to explore what’s really going on beneath the surface—and to begin shifting patterns that no longer serve you. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or unsure of what you need, we’ll work together to help you feel more in control, more empowered, and more connected to yourself and the people you care about. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) along with other evidence-based approaches to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact. That means we might gently challenge self-critical thinking, find new ways to manage anxiety or stress, or work on setting healthy boundaries in relationships. I also draw from systems theory in my work with couples and families, helping clients recognize how past dynamics may be influencing present struggles—and how to build new, healthier ways of relating. My clients often tell me they feel a sense of relief just being able to speak openly, without pressure to have all the answers. I believe therapy is not about fixing you—because you're not broken. It’s about giving you the space and tools to care for yourself in a deeper way. If you’re ready to begin this process, I’m here to walk alongside you.

Are you struggling with feeling “not good enough”? Wondering who you really are beneath the pain and past experiences that have shaped you? Maybe you feel stuck, unsure where to begin, or who you could become beyond the trauma and hardships you’ve faced. Asking these questions — and confronting these memories — can feel overwhelming. But you don’t have to do it alone. Healing is possible, and the first step is simply starting. I believe the only way out is through. I’ve walked this path myself and have had the privilege of helping many others navigate their own journeys of healing and self-discovery. Our thoughts create our reality — and with the right support, tools, and guidance, you can shift your mindset and create the life you truly desire. I blend both traditional therapeutic approaches (CBT, TF-CBT, Existential Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy) and holistic healing practices (Reiki, astrology, breathwork, meditation, somatic bodywork) to meet you exactly where you are. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Certified Life Coach, and Certified Reiki Practitioner, I specialize in helping people heal deeply, reconnect with themselves, and rediscover who they are beyond their past. Let’s take the first step together.
