CBT is structured, goal-oriented, and evidence-based, making it effective for anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. The client learns to recognize automatic negative thoughts contributing to emotional distress. The therapist helps challenge and reframe irrational or unhelpful thoughts into more balanced perspectives. As well as encourages the client to engage in positive activities to improve mood and break avoidance patterns.
