I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I utilize (CBT) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through a gentle Rogerian approach help clients make changes that will improve the quality of their life. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I will briefly introduce myself and acknowledge that I have read and become familiar with the issues that brought you here. It is your session, so it is your time. I often find that different clients need different interventions. Some clients would like to verbalize concerns and be heard. Some clients are looking for guidance and intervention. My counseling is based on your need.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

The counseling environment is one of focus on the client. I give unconditional positive regard and full attention to my client in order to help them understand themselves. Through listening to their concerns, I am able to identify what they are searching for in the therapy process and help them make decisions as well as educate. Oftentimes I can be instrumental in identifying issues that they are hidden to them and reveal obstacles to growth.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Educating the client on understanding the problem and then instituting behavioral intervention to solve the problem. For example: becoming aware of unproductive thought patterns and how they can impact one's life. With awareness learning how to reframe those thoughts so they’re more positive and productive. Also instituting changes that will reduce the negative outcome.
