I bring warmth, empathy, authenticity, and a down-to-earth approach to each session. My approach is collaborative and individualized—I meet you where you are, adapt therapy to your needs, and create a space where you can show up as yourself without fear of judgment. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Colorado, I strive to create a therapeutic space where you feel safe, seen, and accepted as your authentic self. My approach is grounded in honesty, compassion, authenticity, and humor, because I believe meaningful growth can happen when we feel comfortable enough to show up as we are—including the messy, complicated, and imperfect parts of being human. I take a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach that honors your resilience, recognizes your existing strengths, and respects your unique experiences. I also recognize that our lives are shaped not only by personal experiences but by the systems, social structures, and sociopolitical factors around us. I aim to understand the whole picture rather than view challenges in isolation. Above all, I believe you are the expert in your own experience. My role is not to tell you who to be or what your journey should look like, but to walk alongside you as we explore what matters most to you, navigate challenges, and work toward meaningful change. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I strive to meet you with curiosity, respect, and a healthy dose of humor along the way.

I'm fascinated by human existence. What you say, what you mean, what you've been through, how you've survived it, and how you're still standing. I pay attention to the details, the patterns, the stories you tell yourself, and the things you wish other people understood about you. I know what it feels like to feel unseen, overlooked, stuck, anxious, hopeless. I don't have life figured out, but I’ve spent years learning to sit with uncertainty, have hard conversations, and navigate the messy realities of being human. I won’t promise to heal you or have all the answers, but I will promise that I'm committed to helping you better understand yourself. I'm an out-of-the-box therapist. I bring passion, humor, authenticity, and insight.

I’m Laura, a trauma-informed mental health clinician, ordained minister, and blossoming death doula. I work at the intersection of psychology, spirituality, and human transformation, supporting people through trauma, life transitions, grief, and deep identity shifts. My approach is grounded in clinical training and expanded through lived experience, spiritual exploration, and years of walking alongside people in their most vulnerable moments. I graduated with a Master’s in Counseling from Regis University with honors, where I served as President of the Honor Society, and I’ve been in my own personal therapy journey for over two decades. I believe deeply in what I ask clients to do: to stay curious, honest, and willing to grow. I work with people who are often highly sensitive, self-aware, and exhausted from carrying too much for too long. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma histories, relationship struggles, or major life transitions that leave them questioning who they are and how to move forward. What brings people to my practice is often not just symptoms, but a deeper longing for clarity, grounding, and reconnection with themselves.

My name is Miguel Lopez, a Hispanic male (He/Him/His) and U.S. Army combat veteran who brings a unique perspective to my work as a therapist. Fluent in Spanish and passionate about guiding people through life’s challenges, I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Walden University, a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Colorado Technical University, and an Associate’s in Criminal Justice from Pikes Peak State College. With over a decade of experience as a caseworker, substance abuse counselor, and therapist, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse clients facing real-life struggles and in need of daily support. Life can be tough, and we all face difficult moments—whether it’s a breakup, divorce, grief, the loss of a loved one or pet, or even a job loss. In these times, having an unbiased person to offer support can make a world of difference. I see trauma as an unexpected part of life that is often hard to process, but with the right help, it can be managed and overcome healthily. I’ve personally experienced more than my share of trauma, grief, loss, sadness, depression, and substance use, and I sought help to work through them. My approach to therapy is centered on helping people in the best way possible, always with an open mind. I often use Maslow’s hierarchy of needs as a guide, because I believe mental health is hard to prioritize when physical needs aren’t met, or issues like homelessness or substance abuse are present. I enjoy working with clients from age 5 to older adults who face Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, PTSD, Mood Disorders, Personality Disorders, and other mental health or substance use challenges. It’s easy to fight battles alone and suffer in silence, but you don’t have to anymore—together, we can work toward healing and a better future.

Welcome. I work with adults who feel weighed down by sadness, stress, or disconnection—even if they can’t always explain why. Many of the people I support are parents who want to show up with patience and love for their children but find themselves triggered by old wounds or past patterns. Together, we explore what it means to care for both the child in front of you and the child within you. My approach is somatic and creative, weaving in body awareness, journaling, expressive arts, nature, and reading books. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals with complex and high acuity mental health needs. My work is grounded in trauma informed and trauma responsive care, with a strong commitment to creating inclusive, affirming spaces for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent clients, and individuals in rural communities. I work across the lifespan, including children (7+), adults, older adults, families, and couples. My approach is collaborative and empowering, centered on the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives and require my clinical expertise. I often describe my role as “working myself out of a job” to help clients build the insight, skills, and confidence needed to advocate for themselves and navigate systems independently. As a trauma specialist, I tailor evidence based interventions to each client’s identities, needs, strengths, and goals. My primary approaches include Somatic Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)-(EMDRIA certification pending), Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. I also integrate Internal Family Systems informed interventions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, exposure based strategies, mindfulness, and other approaches as clinically appropriate. I adapt treatment for neurodivergent clients and clients with intellectual or developmental disabilities because therapy should adjust to the person and not require the person to adjust to therapy. I am continually shaped by the courage, insight, and lived experiences clients bring into our work. Every advanced training, specialty, certification, and state license reflect lessons learned from clients. I carry their trust, stories, and influence into every session with gratitude and responsibility. Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across the entire state. If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near your address.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
