Roxy Jackson
I work with couples, women, and moms navigating anxiety, ADHD, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in real life, creating a space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported.
I strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable being authentic, exploring difficult emotions, and making meaningful changes at their own pace.
I incorporate evidence-based interventions, including Gottman Method techniques for couples, and offer faith-based approaches for clients who wish to integrate spirituality into their therapeutic journey. My goal is to help clients build practical coping skills, strengthen relationships, improve self-confidence, and create meaningful, lasting change.
First session
Our first session will consist of some standard intake questions, an overview of my therapeutic approach, and an opportunity for me to learn more about you, your goals, and what you hope to get out of therapy. I want to understand what is important to you so I can tailor our work together to best meet your needs. This is also a chance for you to ask questions, get to know me, and begin building a therapeutic relationship where you feel comfortable, heard, and supported.
Strengths
What stands out about my approach is that I combine warmth, compassion, and collaboration with practical, evidence-based interventions. I believe therapy should be tailored to each client's unique needs, experiences, and goals rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable being authentic, exploring difficult emotions, and making meaningful changes at their own pace. I also value incorporating Gottman Method interventions for couples and faith-based approaches when desired, allowing therapy to align with each client's personal values and beliefs. My goal is to help clients feel empowered, build confidence, and develop tools they can carry into their everyday lives.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is a woman, mom, or couple who is ready to better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, and create meaningful changes in their lives. I enjoy working with clients navigating anxiety, ADHD, trauma, relationship challenges, communication difficulties, and major life transitions. My ideal clients may feel overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck in unhealthy patterns, or unsure of how to move forward but are open to exploring new perspectives and developing healthier coping skills. I especially enjoy working with clients who want a supportive, collaborative therapeutic relationship where they can feel heard, build confidence, improve self-worth, and grow at their own pace. I also welcome clients who wish to incorporate faith and spirituality into their healing journey.
Treatment methods
Faith-based therapy
I take a collaborative, individualized approach to treatment, ensuring that therapy is centered around your unique needs, experiences, values, and goals. I offer the opportunity to incorporate faith and spirituality into our sessions if that is something important to you. This may include exploring how your faith influences your perspective, using faith-based resources or interventions, and incorporating spiritual beliefs into your healing and personal growth. I want this to be guided by your beliefs and comfort level, never imposed. I believe therapy should be flexible, so if there is ever a new concern, goal, or intervention you would like to incorporate, we can make room for that at any time. My goal is to ensure you feel heard, involved, and confident that our work together is meaningful and moving in the direction you want.
