My work and life experiences have provided me opportunities to work with both adults and young children dealing with anxiety, grief, frustration and stress. My passion is to support those who are navigating emotions related to their current experiences and their hopes for the future. With openness and acceptance, I provide supportive, evidence-based and trauma-informed sessions to promote problem solving and coping with life's imbalances. My specialty has been working with women, mothers and young families. I have a lot of experience with navigating systems that provide support to people with developmental disabilities as well, from ages 0-8.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session will briefly go over what to expect from sessions, what you're hoping for length of time to work together, and narrowing down current top 2-3 issues that you're coming up against.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My clients find me to be open and accepting to many different perspectives. I have had my own share of stressors and issues in my own childhood and adulthood that I gain insight from as well. I am attuned to a variety of cultures and backgrounds. I have personally grown and learned so much in this challenging life and look forward to supporting you as you navigate the roadblocks. I gain a lot of insight from mindfulness and cognitive reframing once the initial work has been done on coping with the most difficult parts of your story.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I will listen to your concerns and help you find your inner strengths. Together we will cut through the barriers that are dragging you down and find rewarding motivators for your efforts toward achieving your goals.

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

I find that we can all get stuck in the past, but working through our emotions about how we started off in the world can be useful. We can learn to reflect on our relationships with others and ourselves and note thoughts and behavior patterns that could be weighing us down.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Working with children and caregivers as well as adults who have trauma/PTSD symptoms from the past, helps to build coping skills and to manage stress. Learning to recognize and regulate emotions will promote positive relationships for the future.
