Do you ever feel stuck? Do the negative beliefs you have ever hold you back—make you feel like you can’t move forward? Not sure what to do next? Sometimes life can throw you a curveball and when it does, I’m here to help. My name is Carol Poston. I’ve been a Marriage and Family Therapist for over 11 years. I am an experienced EMDR therapist and have witnessed the power of that modality to transform the life of my clients. I have extensive experience with grief and loss with 8 years of experience as a hospice bereavement counselor and chaplain. I understand the importance of religious beliefs on personal development and growth. My therapeutic style is shaped by my hospice experience. Every moment is critical. It’s not simply the case of making the most of each moment. It is indeed that this moment, this day, this session, is the most important. Being present and bearing witness to my client’s pain in this moment is what matters. In our sessions we manage the urgent but focus on what is most important. You are the expert in your own life--I am the professional guide here to help navigate your way through this difficult time. I am excited that you are considering me to be your guide to help you chart a new course for your life.

Hello, I'm Sarah. I'm a licensed clinical social worker who works with adults virtually in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. I strive to be easy to talk to, and I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can show up exactly as you are—without pressure, judgment, or needing to have everything figured out. My practice is collaborative, down-to-earth, and centered on what matters most to you. We’ll make room for whatever you’re carrying, whether it’s stress, relationship challenges, big life changes, old patterns that keep showing up, or simply the feeling that something needs to shift. I’ll listen closely, help you make sense of what’s going on, and support you in finding practical ways to move forward. I want our work to feel real and useful—not overly clinical or one-size-fits-all. Together, we’ll go at a pace that feels right for you, build on your strengths, and create space for more clarity, confidence, and self-trust.

You made it here so you are one step closer to getting the help you deserve. Congratulations! I am a LCSW based out of Southern, Kentucky but originally from Middle Tennessee. I made my way to the beloved Commonwealth of Kentucky to complete my undergraduate degree, Applied Human Sciences with a focus on family and child studies, at Western Kentucky University (WKU). Go Tops! I liked WKU enough that I stuck around for another two years where I completed my Masters in Social Work. Unfortunately I was not granted a wand with my degree to make everyone's life magically better but I was granted the opportunity to help every client I serve. As your therapist I promise to respect, support, and collaborate with you to establish the best way to navigate through the trials and tribulations of life.

My name is Kimberly Watkins. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who cares deeply about helping you make your way. Being a native of a small town, I understand the challenges these communities face in gaining quality mental health care. Therefore, after college and getting married, I pursued higher education to fulfill my passion of becoming a counselor. Along the way, I have helped others in various capacities including displaced children and teen moms, working at a homeless shelter and grief center, teaching Social Emotional Learning classes to children in a school setting, providing school-based and outpatient therapy for children and adults in multiple mental health agencies and schools. I have also worked as a Group Therapist for teens/preteens in PHP/IOP Program. Through all these experiences I have gained a vast understanding and knowledge of challenges individuals and families face. I want to continue this journey by providing private individual therapy services. I seek to provide compassionate, client-centered counseling to individuals and families in communities. I seek to help individuals and families grow strong roots by encouraging clients to explore and utilize resources in their communities including family, friends, and faith-based services. I seek to help people address issues they are experiencing such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and relational challenges. I will meet each client where they are and help them work through past and current pain to build a more balanced and manageable life. My goal is to support individuals and families in building healthier, more resilient lives across generations. My personal passion is to strengthen communities by increasing access to compassionate, high quality mental health care.

My identity and therapy practice are highly intertwined as I always say "I am a human before I am a therapist". Yes I went to college and got a big degree but my general desire for my clients is for them to feel like they are sitting with an authentic human who has "been there before". I moved from my home in Eastern KY Appalachia to Louisville in 2019. Having this experience has shown me that there ain't much difference in the suffering people have in the country and the city. I believe that our current society and systems all too often force people into hard spots and then tell them to pull themselves up and keep it pushing. My goal in therapy is to slow things down to normalize for you that we are not working on "what's wrong with you" but instead "what happened to you". This allows you to feel safe enough with me to share the parts of your life/mental that even you don't want to address. That is when you start healing. Cause once you feel seen and supported, you feel empowered enough to figure out how YOU want to live (not how you have been told to). I describe this whole process as you are driving the car and I am riding "shot gun" just pointing things out and making suggestions! I find that my unconditional acceptance of clients, use of real world humor/experiences, and gently pushing for change allows us to start building the skills and strategies you need to live in this world as an authentic you. Another favorite saying of mine is "it's your world my guy I'm just living in it"!

I am an LPCC from Kentucky, I graduated with my Masters degree from WKU. I have been practicing therapy early on from internship to my LPCA, my LPCC, and soon I will be able to gain my supervisor credential and become an LPCC-S. I attempt to balance an empathetic approach with a scientific approach to therapy as I think it is important to view situations and client cases from both perspectives rather than only one. I like to remove rigid stereotypes of therapy and approach it with a more holistic and casual approach, again, with that added scientific foundation.

Yes! If you use Cigna you’ll be asked to verify your Member ID at the time you book the appointment. However, if you don’t have Cigna you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
